New Delhi, Aug 3: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government has made it clear that no links between any terrorist group and the foundation headed by Islamic preacher Dr Zakir Naik have come to its notice yet.
In a written reply, Minister of State for Home, Hansraj Ahir, informed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that some media reports indicated that some known terrorists have reportedly been inspired by Dr Naik. However, investigations so far in this regard could not find any evidence against the internationally acclaimed orator.
The minister also said that Dr Naik's Peace TV was not a permitted satellite channel for transmission on the cable network and hence should not be carried by cable operators.
"Islamic Research Foundation is registered under the Foreign Contributions Regulations Act, 2010. Foreign contributions and their utilisation is checked and in case of violations, action taken under the provisions of the Act," he said.
On July 28, the government had told the Rajya Sabha that complaints were received recently that Peace TV was being shown by some cable operators in Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh and Aurangabad in Maharashtra and details were provided to the district authorities for action.

Zakeer Naik has more Fans - Hindus, Christians than Muslims. His Fans are mostly highly educated, intellectuals.
He never advocates hatreds, animosities. He says truth which are wrongly practiced not following their own respective scripts like Veda, Geethas. His knowledge in Hindu scripts are more than any common Swamees, pandiths.

He is showing what is in hindu scripts mentioned and what you are practising. Example, in vedas it clearly mention that idol worship should not be done. How many of us worshipping Idol? Did Prachi talk about Veda any time? If you listen her speeches it is spitting venom.
He has working, serving the people even with his all wealth, without seeking any personnel benefit. He has been doing it at least last 30-35years as I know it.
It would have not taken this much time to find any irregular activity if he has been committing such. If does not need much time to know any anti social activity.
He is very much openly operating his activities obeying all the norms. He is more popular in Europe and US, other countries than in India.
For some people it is very much difficult to digest his popularity and his fair activities. Unfortunately those Sanghi brothern or Sanghi sympathizers can understand that he is rescuing them from their unknown mistakes. Whatever he is doing he is not seeking any worldly benefit. He has a strong faith in God, his sincere efforts will be rewarded in the other permanent life (which will be after death). Bengaluru, Mar 6: School children in Karnataka will have 'bag-free' days on two Saturdays in a month as part of efforts to create a joyful learning experience, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa announced on Thursday. By making two Saturdays in a month as bag-free days, "Sambhrama Shanivara" will be observed with the objective of creating a joyful learning experience by reducing the burden of text books, he said, presenting the 2020-21 budget in the state assembly.
"The main purpose of such days is to create awareness, by means of activities, on topics that are necessary for students to be ideal citizens," he added.
He also said for the first time in the history of the state his government presented a "child budget", making it a special feature of the budget.
All the policies and programmes for the development of children below the age of 18 are consolidated and presented in this budget and as many as 279 programmes involving Rs.36,340crore, which is 15.28 per cent of the total volume of the Budget, have been earmarked.
English medium of instruction would be given along with Urdu in 400 government Urdu schools and Rs one crore will be provided during 2020-21 for this purpose, Mr Yediyurappa said.
For the education of children of auto drivers, up to Rs 2,000 would be provided annually to each family. For this purpose, Rs 40 crore will be provided in the coming fiscal, the Chief Minister added.

Bengaluru, Jul 6: A video clip of a Bengaluru-based doctor urging the follow doctors to return to their duty at a time when medicos are desperately needed to fight against COVID-19 has busted the myth of ‘shortage of beds’ in the hospitals.
In past few of weeks, dozens of people in Bengaluru have lost their lives after hospital denied them admission citing lack of beds.
Dr Taha Mateen, Managing Director of HBS Hospital, in an emotional message, appealed to healthcare professionals, including doctors, to help handle the situation better. The video has gone viral on social media.
“I speak from the ICU of HBS Hospital. It’s been a virtual bloodbath. I came in the morning at like 7:30 in the morning and its 12’o’clock midnight right now. Patients are continuously calling me now ‘cause their fathers are breathless, their brothers are breathless and they cannot find a room in Bengaluru and at this time if you see there is one Mr Shiva and me. There is no other doctor willing to work in this hospital,” Dr Mateen says in the video.
Dr Mateen further said, "I have beds, I have oxygen beds, I have ventilators, I have all the equipment. I have another 30 beds like this but I don’t have doctors working here.” He said that there is an urgent need to mobilise healthcare staff.
Sources said the COVID-19 patients at the hospital are left with only five doctors and 12 nurses. Until recently, the HBS Hospital had 20 nurses and 44 doctors on its roll.
According to a report, the hospital is facing huge difficulties in treating patients admitted at Intensive Care Units (ICU). Eight patients with severe respiratory problems are admitted to the hospital and are waiting for their COVID-19 test results.
"We have sufficient beds at the hospital to treat coronavirus patients, but we don't have doctors. And we can't admit more patients as we are left with just five doctors, said Dr Taha Mateen.
"All doctors are on WhatsApp, I request all doctors to come out and perform their duties, Dr Mateen said in a video appeal on WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram.
According to Dr Mateen, a COVID-19 patient, who was admitted to COVID care centre at Haj Bhavan, was abandoned on a road by an ambulance driver. Later, the patient was picked by NGO volunteers.
"The patient was brought to HBS Hospital at 2 am. He had a very low blood oxygen level. We stabilised his condition. Later, we had to send him home as we don't have enough staff to take care of him. We also sent an oxygen cylinder to his home," a report quoted Dr Mateen as saying.

Kalaburagi, May 15: Former Karnataka Minister Dr Sharanprakash Patil and 22 others, including several local Congress leaders, have been booked for violating lockdown guidelines by conducting a meeting at a convention hall in Sulpeth town on May 13.
The FIR was registered on Thursday against 23 persons, including the former MLA and 21 local Congress leaders, under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Congress leader Patil and his followers had conducted a meeting at a convention hall in Sulpeth town on May 13, following which sectoral magistrate Muneer Ahmed lodged a complaint.
This comes as the country of under lockdown and the Centre and states have issued strict social distancing and other norms to be followed to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
