Deeply hurt by Modi's outburst, Bajrang Dal leader asks him to send Army

Mangaluru, Aug 12: Pained and frustrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's outburst against so called cow protectors, Karnataka Bajrang Dal chief Sharan Pumpwell has urged him to send an army to this south Indian state to save the holy animal' from butchers.

sharanLast week, Mr Modi had not only urged the state governments to take action against those who take law into their hands in the name of cow protection, but also called them anti-social elements.

Besides, an advisory was also issued by the ministry of home affairs on August 9, directing all states and union territories to guard against untoward incidents occurring under the garb of cow protection.

“We are deeply hurt by the PM's remarks. Cow protectors cannot be anti-social elements. The law says not to kill cows. We don't break the law. We stop those who break the law,” Mr Pumpwell, who hails from Managluru, a bastion of cow vigilantes in Karnataka, told Coastaldigest.com.

Letter to PM

Meanwhile, Mr Pumpwell has written to the PM drawing his attention to the poorly enforced anti-cow slaughter act in Karnataka and asking him to send army to protect cows in the State.

"If public are not allowed to stop cruelty and theft, police should ensure protection at every step. Since there is a shortage of police in Karnataka, the Centre should send Army for the task," the letter stated.

He also reminded the PM of an existing provision in section 40 of CrPC that empowers citizens to arrest those who commit cognisable offences.

All these RSS supported goonda gangs are worried of PM's statement. In the name of Gow rakshak they used to make
a very good money. They themselves used to transport the cow and sell the cow. They used to get the haftha from each truck or van who transports cow. Now they worried about their business.
This sharan is doing a lots of money in the name of \hindusm\". These are the real anti hindus. They are spoiling good religion name for their benefit. First of all intelligent department has to check these goons leaders , from where they get huge money and vehicle for their illegal operations."

I think SHARAN PUMPwell is ignorant of his own scriptures...

The Aryans of the Rig Veda did KILL Cows for purposes of food and ate beef in abundantly clear from Rig Veda itself. In RV (X86.14) Indra says : They COOK for one 15 plus twenty OXEN.
The RV (X91.14) says that for AGNI were sacrificed horses, bulls, oxen, BARREN COWS and rams. From Rig Veda (X.72.6) It appears that the COW was killed with a Sword or AXE.

He is also ignorant of the indian law too..

How can people follow this IGNORANT & Dig their own hell to themselves as well as their families (Just lyk NAMO leader who was on the run and now behind bars without any bail.. He may getaway but his family is suffering also the family of the victims are suffering. How come these intelligent people does not recognize the evil in this?????????

Mr. sharan,
DO you agree law and order is equal for all. Even if you belongs to rowdy dal or a common man, who gave you permission to assault or humiliate someone in the name of cow.. Be human first then be a rakshak to humans first other animals comes in later stage. Think like a man not like animal.

Dont make your own rules. be cool man..

Viren Kotian, Udupi,
You need to protect? Do you have any idea about those protected cows in Rajastan and Gujrat? Cows are dying there without food, dead bodies are stinking there and your Gau protectors are not to be seen taking care of them.
Tell your pumpwell to send his Dal to those place to clean up the mess.

As per ICRA, Indian Buffalo meat(read as Beef) exports from India to reach to Rs.40,000/- crores in five years reported Business Standard newspaper. PM Modi has to look after the interests of exporters mostly upper caste Hindus and Jains.

Bengaluru, Jul 9: The total number of Covid-19 infections in Karnataka on Thursday breached the 30,000 mark as the state reported its biggest single-day spike of over 2,200 new cases and 17 related fatalities, taking the death toll to 486, the Health department said.

The day also saw a record 957 patients getting discharged after recovery, out of which 606 were from Bengaluru Urban.

Out of the 2,228 fresh cases reported on Thursday, a whopping 1,373 were from Bengaluru Urban alone.

The previous biggest single-day spike was recorded on July 8 with 2,062 cases.

As of July 9 evening, cumulatively 31,105 Covid-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state, which includes 486 deaths and 12,833 discharges, the Health department said in its bulletin.

It said, out of 17,782 active cases, 17,325 patients are in isolation at designated hospitals and are stable, while 457 are in ICU.

"Death rate in Karnataka is 1.49 percent, while in Bengaluru is 1.28 percent, and our target is to bring it below 1 percent," Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar told reporters.

"The reason for spike in cases in Bengaluru and other places in recent days is because during the last four months of lockdown we had controlled it very well, but as we relaxed lockdown for economic activities we did not follow certain precautionary measures like distance among other things," he said.

The Minister also conceded that there were lapses on part of the government also in terms of tracing and tracking.

"It has to be improved especially in Bengaluru and we are taking steps in this regard."

Among the 17 dead seven were from Dharwad, two each from Hassan, Kalaburagi, Mysuru, and one each from Raichur, Uttara Kannada, Tumakuru and Davangere.

The deceased include 13 men and 4 women.

The dead are all either with a history of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) or Influenza-like illness (ILI).

Out of 2,228 fresh cases today, contacts of the majority of the cases are still under tracing.

Among the districts where the new cases were reported, Bengaluru Urban accounted for 1,373, followed by Dakshina Kannada (167), Kalaburagi (85) and Dharwad (75).

Bengaluru urban district tops the list of positive cases, with a total of 13,882 infections, followed by Kalaburagi (1,901) and Dakshina Kannada 1,701.

Among discharges Bengaluru urban tops the list with total 2,834, followed by Kalabuagi (1,392) and Udupi (1,206).

A total of 7,79,209 samples were tested so far, out of which 20,028 were tested on Thursday alone.

So far 7,28,887 samples have been reported as negative, and of them 17,568 were reported negative today.
