BJP leaders praised Jinnah, secretly visited Pak: UT Khader on Ramya row

Mangaluru, Aug 24: Delivering a tight slap on the face of those who tried to portray actor-turned-politician Ramya as an “antinational”, Congress leader U T Khader today said that it was BJP veteran L K Advani, who vociferously praised Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.

ramyaRamya has been facing the ire of Sangh Parivar after she positively spoke about her recent trip to Pakistan for the SAARC Youth Summit. A pro-BJP advocate has lodged a sedition complaint in local court in Kodagu against Ramya for saying Pakistan is not hell. Besides, the BJP activists on social media have been constantly abusing her for refusing to apologize for her personal views.

Extending moral support to his party colleague and former Mandya MP, Mr Khader said that those who abuse Ramya and call her an anti-national just for expressing her opinion should clarify their stance on the one who vociferously praised Jinnah.

“Have you forgotten Mr Advani's statements on Jinnah after the former returned from Karachi trip? You never called him anti-national. Ramya never did such a mistake. She just expressed her opinion on her official Pakistan visit,” Mr Khader said.

Recalling Prime Minister Narendra Modi's surprise Pakistan visit, Mr Khader said, “Modi had gone to Pakistan without prior discussion and he attended a private function too. Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan made allegation that Modi met underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in Lahore.”

Stating that all Indians are patriots, Mr Khader said that one particular party is behaving as if patriotism is its own property. “They just want to spread hatred and divide people for political gains. These are all dirty games. People should teach them a lesson,” he said.

Dear All, you wont become anti national if you speak in favor of Pakistan, nor if you speak against India in BJP ruled nation. It is only when you speak or share your views anything against our central government views, then you are labelled here as Anti National. That is what the Bjp or RSS wants Indians to be, literally these are SICK

Our Little dumb girl Geeta crossed Pakistan border and spend a good life for about 20 years in Eddi's ashram as he look after her as his own daughter. Still she was not converted to Islam ; finally Eddy bought her to India , when the government of BJP offered him 1 crores of rupees he politely refused the money. What a great man he is . . He is a Pakistani. We salute him. likewise there are crores of people in Pakistan are good and some people are their very bad (killing innocents in road, mosque, and schools).
So what Ramya said here???/ She said the people are good and Pakistan is not hell.
If Pakistan is a hell ,,, then how those people who were visited recently there not burned to death???? including Sushmaji, Modi and Rajnath????
Whatever Modiji did was good. He has followed Vajpayeeji.
In Pakistan there are terrorist groups which cannot be controlled by the Pak government; every time they kill hundreds of innocents .

No the most poisonous creatures of India like VHP , BJP etc. Sangha Pariwar's has no work to do simply they behind now Ramya.

We, the undersigned express our solidarity with Dr Zafarul Islam Khan, renowned scholar, journalist and presently Chairman of the Delhi Minorities Commission.

We strongly condemn the continued media trial and targeting of Dr Zafarul Islam Khan for his Facebook post thanking Kuwait for expressing solidarity with Indian Muslims. In his Facebook post, he mentioned the appalling deterioration of human rights of Indian Muslims who have been targeted by Hindutva bigots. A few politicians with ulterior motives and news channel anchors known for spreading bigotry and Islamophobia have mischievously sought to misinterpret his statement and ridiculously label him as anti-Hindu and anti-India.

He has only reiterated what many citizens of India, public figures, international institutions, various European governments, the United States of America and United Nations human rights mechanisms have repeatedly underlined their concern at the increasing human rights abuse and violations of religious minorities in India.

Dr Zafarul Islam Khan is a man of integrity. He is a scholar who is known to stand up for constitutional freedoms and values.

His work as the Chairman of Delhi Minorities Commission has been warmly applauded by human rights activists and NGOs across different faiths. His timely interventions on problems of minorities in Delhi have made him a respectable figure among not only Muslims but Sikh, Christians, Jains and Parsis. He is a humanist in the truest sense of the word.

The hateful propaganda against Dr Khan is one more illustration as how certain Indians fail to differentiate between Hinduism, a religion and Hindutva which is a supremacist political ideology.

Dr Zafarul Islam Khan is a leading Indian intellectual whose niche area is Islamic studies and Arab world. He enjoys great respect in the Arab and Muslim world for his understanding and knowledge. He is an alumni of the esteemed Jamia Al-Azhar and Manchester University.

Dr Khan is known for taking bold public positions. He was the first Muslim scholar in the world who denounced ISIL, which later became IS or ISIS. He issued a statement opposing the barbaric crimes of ISIL (IS or ISIS) and Boko Haram against minorities. He takes strong stands against extremism of all sorts. That makes him a prominent critic of RSS.

Dr Khan is a scholar ambassador and earned international prestige for the India. Any attack and targeting of him, is actually an insult to Indian constitution and ethos.

We demand the appropriate authorities of the Government of India take strong legal action against those who are distorting Dr Khan’s Facebook post, and spreading vicious false propaganda against him.

Bengaluru, July 17: A 60-year-old woman who tested positive for Covid-19 allegedly ended her life in the Covid ward at KC General Hospital in the early hours of Friday.

The woman, the fourth Covid positive patient to end her life since April, was a resident of Mariyappanapalya near Jnanabharathi in West Bengaluru. She was found hanging from a window grille in the passage of the Covid ward around 5 am. She had used her sari to hang herself.

The police said that the woman was admitted to the hospital on July 1. She was responding well to the treatment and was almost cured. Her son was infected first and admitted to the same hospital. As she later tested positive and got admitted, her son was discharged on July 11. The police suspect that the woman may have resorted to the extreme step due to depression.

An investigating officer quoted doctors telling the police that they were about to inform the woman about her discharge date on Friday. Doctors were waiting for the report on her latest test before discharging her.

The woman’s body will be subjected to an autopsy as per the Covid standard procedure. The Malleswaram police have taken up a case of unnatural death. Investigations are on.

On July 11, a 70-year-old man ended his life in the toilet of the Covid ward in Victoria Hospital, while a suicide was reported in the same ward on June 26. A 60-year-old woman also hanged herself in the toilet. Her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson were also admitted to hospital for Covid-19.

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 18: Bindhu Sampath, the mother of Nimisha alias Fathima who travelled from Kerala to Afghanistan to join the Islamic State (IS), has sought the Central government's help to bring her daughter back to India.

"I saw a video of my daughter in which she was requesting her return to India. She has realised that India is her country, not Afghanistan. She is scared that she'll be put in jail over there. Responding to my mail, the Afghanistan government has said that the procedure will take time," said Bindhu Sampath.

"I believe in Indian laws. Let her be questioned and realise what is good or bad. I am waiting for the Central government's confirmation on the matter," added Sampath.

Around four years back, a team of 21 members which consisted of couples and children went to Syria from Kerala to join ISIS and lead an Islamic life. After they left, police registered a case against them, which has been handled by the National Investigation Agency.
