New Delhi, Aug 30: In another tragic incident, an ailing boy died on his father's shoulder in Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh on Monday after the government-run Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital(LLR) allegedly denied admitting him.

The emergency section of the hospital refused to admit 12-year-old Ansh and asked his father, Sunil Kumar, to take him to a children's hospital.

Further, Kumar was not even provided a stretcher to carry his son to the children's hospital, which is 250 meters away from LLR.

What Happened

According to reports, Kumar had to wait for at least half an hour before the staff at LLR hospital denied admitting his son. After half an hour, they asked Kumar to take his son to a children's hospital.

Kumar then rushed to the children's hospital, carrying Ansh on his shoulders. But sadly, he was too late.

The doctors at the children's hospital declared Ansh dead on arrival.

Even then, no body came for help. The poor father had to again carry his now dead son on his shoulders all the way back.

Ansh was down with high fever since Sunday and was first taken to a neighbourhood doctor in Faizalgunj. The doctors there asked Kumar to take his son to a hospital with better facilities. It was then that Kumar went to the LLR hospital in Kanpur.

Series of Such Shocking Tragedies

This incident comes merely days after a video showing a tribal man in Odisha, carrying his dead wife on his shoulders, went viral. It was reported that the authorities did not help him and he was compelled to walk 10 km carrying his dead wife.

In another incident, a woman's body had to be broken at the hip so that men could carry it on a bamboo pole.

it is Every bodies fault... Y cant every individual be active in helping others ... We know our govt is developing only in cheddi controlled media... Lets work together and inform all our friends to help people who are poor and in situation of needy...

May Almighty forgive us for living the poor on their own... Those who are capable of helping . please help without depending on the Govt's system cos we feel most of the authorities are just filling their stomachs when they should have been taking care of their people.

Bareilly (UP), May 19: Samajwadi leader Chhotelal Diwakar and his son, Sunil Diwakar, were shot dead in broad daylight in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. The entire incident was caught on camera.

The murder was apparently a fallout of a dispute over laying of a road under MGNREGA.

Chhotelal Diwakar had contested the 2017 assembly elections on a Samajwadi Party ticket.

Superintendent of Police, (SP), Sambhal, Yamuna Prasad, said, "Some work was being carried out under MGNREGA due to which some dispute happened. Two people have been shot dead. We will reach the spot of the incident to find more details."

According to his family members, Diwakar and his son had gone for a walk in the fields when the assailants came on a motorbike and after a brief altercation, shot them dead. They fled on foot, leaving their motorbike behind.

A large number of SP workers reached the village soon after the news of the double murder spread.

SP Yamuna Prasad who reached the spot that falls under Behjoi police station, soon after the murders, said that a manhunt has been launched for the assailants. He said that further investigations were underway and the bodies have been sent for post mortem.
