Mangaluru, Sep 1: More than a year after a Hindu youth from Sullia taluk in coastal Karnataka embraced Islam, a group of Hindutva activists on Wednesday staged a protest in his village urging the government and police department to arrest him to find out if he has links with any terror group.

24-year-old Satish Acharya from Mavamjadka in Mandekolu village had accepted Islam on his own will last year in Kerala, where he was working. A certificate issued by Therbiyathul Islam Sabha of Kozhikode on April 15, 2015 stated that Sathish had changed his name to Muhammed Mustakim following his four-month stay at the sabha.

After conversion, he did not break up his relationship with any of the family members and went to mosque from his home without any hesitation. Even though it was an internal matter of his family for one year, recently a few local Hindutva leaders came to know about the about his change of faith and reportedly threatened him.

On Wednesday, August 31, a group of protesters, led by Sangh Parivar activist and former local gram panchayat president Suresh Kanemaradka, gathered in front of the bus stop at Mandekolu village and raised slogans against Muslim organizations that help Hindu youths to accept Islam.

The protesters said that the police should arrest the converted youth and subject him to rigorous interrogation to find out the truth behind the conversion. They claimed that radical groups were luring innocent Hindu men and women in various ways and using them for anti-social activities.

Addressing the protesters, Mr. Kanemaradka said that the way Sathish had changed his religious thoughts had led to fear among the villagers that radical groups may try to influence youths from the village, which was known for communal harmony.

He said that security agencies should considered this conversion case very seriously and conduct a high level probe. He also warned to intensify the protest and make it a national issue if the police failed to take necessary action against all those who played role in his conversion.

Incumbent president of Mandekolu gram panchayat Mohini Chandrashekar said that the fear was more so because the conversion of Sathish had come at a time when youths from Kerala had left their villages allegedly to join the ISIS.

Another Hindutva activist Vinutha Pathikallu said, “It is unfortunate that such a disturbing development has been reported from the village, where both Hindus and Muslims are living in harmony. If the people will opt another religion for the lure of money, it is equal to dishonouring one's mother.”

Former panchayat president Jayaraj Kukketti, Lakshman Ugranemane, BJP Shakti Kendra, Jalsuru unit president Uday Kumar Achar, TP former vice president Mamatha were among the protesters.

Meanwhile, the local police have reportedly confiscated the mobile phone of the converted youth and questioned a few Muslim men who were in touch with him. Sources said that the family members of the youth did not take part in the protest.

Dear Manohar whenever you talk about muslims, yoiu point out that they belongs to pakistan. This question you need to ask Advani, Sushma, gujral family whose ancestors are from Pakistan. Did you questioned any time? Do you have the guts to question them? Many of the Hindu families are belong to Pakistan Origin. We trust them without questioning. Then why we look at as pakistani who are born indian? Ravishanakr clearly rasied slogan in favour of pakistan. Did any one question them?Where are you at that time? Sitting in cave? If you are natilaist go and protest.

It is the ignorance of God's knowledge that the cheddis feeded. Cheddis always take a kind person away from God knowledge.
ISLAM is a divine religion and no one can harm it... its a challenge and those who challenged have themselves accepted ISLAM. It is better for them to stay neutral rather than making enemy of ISLAM.
I request the Saffron member ... First Learn what is ISLAM .. it will introduce U to YOUR CREATOR who created U , ME and all that exists...
Dont Play with divine religion.. U will try every effort, U will spend every money, U will use every manpower but in the end U wIll be the LOSER and UNSUCCESSFUL... & bow down to it.......

I believe in ONE GOD ALLAH
Muhammad as my messenger
and ISLAM as my religon...

ISLAM is against terrorism... I dont need to prove that to the cheddis...instead I feel pity they dont know their own CREATOR and fall trap to the LIars and deceivers.

First of all know what is religion.
If any religion is not just nor contradicting truth, science, then it can not be the real religion. those are called blind faith.

As nobody has contradiction on 1 God, then find which is the right religion.
Be wise to discover it and follow it. And share it honestly with as much as possible. That true religion will never says to harm or spoil relation with others.

Don't think all our ancestors have followed the right faith.
Perhaps some have followed rightly and some were wrong.

When you know the truth, follow the truth.
The GOD has given us brain, use it properly.

IF YOU CANT FOLLOW ATLEAST KEEP QUIET DONT TROUBLE OTHERS, DONT INTERFERE WITH OTHER'S AFFAIRS.

Bengaluru, Jan 19: Technology hub Hyderabad has edged out 129 other cities in the world to emerge as the world's most dynamic city, according to the seventh edition of the City Momentum Index by global real estate services firm JLL.

The city has pushed Bengaluru to second place to regain the top position after a gap of one year. Chennai is at fifth and Delhi is at sixth place.

While Hyderabad and Bengaluru are the top two cities globally for socio-economic momentum, a more active real estate market helped elevate Hyderabad to first position in the overall ranking, says the report released by the US-based Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) on Saturday night.

Hyderabad recorded the highest office net absorption in 2019 (as a proportion of existing stock) of any city globally, while it is also among the world's best-performing cities for prime office rental growth.

While all seven major Indian cities feature in this year's Global Top 20, cities in south India in particular - Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai (5th) "are ahead of their northern peers, supported by favourable demographics and business climates".

"Their expanding tech industries and start-up cultures make them a magnet for young and ambitious talent from across the country, with Bengaluru having one of the world's largest concentrations of 'engine room' population (20-40-year-olds), typically the most dynamic and productive age cohort," says the report.

Kolkata and Mumbai made it to the top 20 and stood at the 16th and 20th positions. Despite an economic slowdown, India leads the 2020 Index with seven Indian cities in the top 20.

"Commercial real estate in south Indian cities is growing at a rapid pace. Hyderabad has seen tremendous growth in 2019 in line with that of Bengaluru. The city has actively embraced technology-driven economic growth and attracted large tech giants and e-commerce players. The state government's focus on business-friendly policies and provision of high-quality infrastructure along with availability of quality talent pool and superior quality business parks has given Hyderabad a competitive edge," said Ramesh Nair, CEO and Country Head - India, JLL.

Telangana's Minister for Information Technology and Industry K T Rama Rao said he was thrilled over Hyderabad not only regaining the top slot but also over the fact that it was competing with cities like Shenzhen and Shanghai in innovation economy.

The minister said 50 percent weightage from socio-economic indicators beside the remaining 50 percent from commercial and real estate was also heartening.

KTR, as the minister is popularly known, noted that in 2014 when Telangana attained statehood, Hyderabad was not even in the list. He recalled that when Telangana was formed there were many doubts as to what would happen to Hyderabad. "It entered the top 20 in 2015 and rose to fifth place in 2016 and third position in 2017. Hyderabad topped the list in 2018 and finished second the last year. This year it is back at the top," he said.

The JLL City Momentum Index identifies a number of key growth drivers, including talent attraction, the expansion of innovation hubs and better urban planning, that cities can employ to meet the challenges faced by rapid momentum.

Several cities in the top 20 stand out as they transform their urban environments in pursuit of a low-carbon future. In India, Hyderabad is looking at technology to reduce the demand for air conditioning with cool roofs that reflect sunlight and absorb less heat, it said.

"The growth of "micro-mobility" is another positive step, illustrated by Hyderabad's introduction of smart bikes and electric cars. Smart city solutions, such as bike rentals, improved quality of life, help increase inclusion and aid in the transition to a low carbon environment."
