Mangaluru, Sep 24: Brushing aside the rumours of existence of a so called conversion racket' in Sullia taluk, a senior police officer in Dakshina Kannada district has said that not a single instance of forced conversion has come to light so far.

bhushanThe district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party had recently demanded the police to take stringent action against those who indulge in religious conversion activities.

District BJP president Sanjeev Matandoor had also alleged that the groups that encourage conversion were enjoying political patronage. Hence, the police not taking any action against them, he claimed.

Rubbishing the allegations, Superintendent of Police Bhushan Gulabrao Borase said that so far there has been no complaint of forcible conversion from any youth.

Mere allegations have been made by some organisations like Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal about some groups indulging in forcible conversion and they are being inquired into, he said.

Another police officer said that in one instance a youth was assaulted by Hindutva groups for embracing Islam.

"Satish Acharya, aka Muhammad Mustakim, a resident of Mandekolu village in Sullia taluk has made it clear that he accepted Islam on his own will and without any pressure. He also has accused the Hindutva groups of attacking him," he said.

In this case book the hate mongers and levy heavy penalty on them. They should be jailed for not less than 10 years with penalty of not less that 50 lacs for the loss of property done by the follower of these hate mongers. Take away their voting right and kick them out of karnataka.

If there are no instances of forcible conversions, what action they are going to take against those who accuse without any evidences? What action they are going to take against those hate mongers who incite communal hatred by using falsified allegations? At least a warning that it won't be repeated again or an public apology?

ISLAM is the only religion accepted by God...
Eternal life begins when death happens...
Dont worship the creation of God, thats the only sin which will not be forgiven by God... (associating partners with God...)
Know who is our CREATOR before bowing down to created things..
God is merciful and most compassionate... A honest heart will find God if his intention is right to know about God...

To know about God and his attributes read religious scripture specially the QURAN (the quranproject online) a manual to MANKIND... Read to understand about Creator not to Hate... please, as a human brother ... keep away your hatred and make effort to know who is our CREATOR rather than falling prey to some hate mongers...

USE YOUR GOD GIVEN INTELLECT...

Surah barakah 2:256

There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion.

Forcing anyone to convert is not allowed in islam.

No other religion book says so.

Thiruvanthapuram, Feb 21: Rape-accused Bishop Franco Mulakkal has been accused of sexual abuse by another nun. Police sources say that there is at least one more nun who has given a statement of sexual assault against the bishop.

This nun is a witness in the rape case registered against Franco Mulakkal. She is the 14th witness in the case and in her statement, she said that the bishop made sexually-colored and lewd remarks to her over the phone.

As per the nun, they were in communication via phone calls, chat and video calls for a period of two years from 2015 to 2017.

In the statement, the nun said that she kept quiet as she was scared of the bishop.

In her witness statement in September 2018, she said that in 2017, the bishop visited the convent she was in and hugged and kissed her.

Police say that the witness was not ready to file a complaint against the bishop. They had alerted the police in the jurisdiction and when the team met her, she refused to file a complaint. Hence a separate case wasn't registered against Bishop Franco

The first nun of Missionaries of Jesus had accused Franco of raping her multiple times at the Kuruvilangadu convent in Kottayam. The FIR in the case was registered in June 2018.

Then after protests, Franco was arrested on September 21, 2018.

The chargesheet in the case was submitted in April 2019. In the chargesheet, Bishop Franco Mullackal has been charged under various sections of the IPC: 342 (wrongful confinement), 376 (2k) (rape on a woman incapable of giving consent), 376 (2n) (causing grievous bodily harm during rape), 376 (c) (a) 377 (unnatural offence) and 506 (1) (criminal intimidation).

Mangaluru, May 26: Days after the government of India approved the use of chartered flights for the repatriation of Indians stranded across the world amidst covid-19 lockdown, two NRI entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia have offer to bear the cost of repatriation if they get formal green signal to repatriate stranded Indians from Dammam to Mangaluru International Airport before June 5.

Althaf Ullal and Basheer Sagar, the two Kannadiga Directors of Al Khobar-based Saqco, have made this offer in a letter written to Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

The duo have assured that their company will bear the cost of the first chartered flight from Dammam to Mangaluru if the government paves way for its operation by June 5.

It is learnt that many private airliners have come forward to operate chartered flight and are waiting for final clearance from the government. It will cost approximately Rs 45 lakh to hire chartered flight with 180 capacity from Dammam to Mangaluru.

Pregnant women, medical emergency cases, senior citizens on visit visas, those who lost jobs due to lockdown among other stranded Indians will be given priority in this flight, they said.

"Our company will completely bear this cost. Passengers only need to bear the cost of institutional quarantine after reaching Mangaluru," they have clarified.
