Bengaluru, Oct 3: Despite of a ban imposed by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board on Plaster of Paris (PoP) Ganesha idols, nearly 1.50 lakh such “banned gods” have been immersed in various lakes across Bengaluru city during recent Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Officials of the KSPCB said that over one third of the Ganesha idols immersed in the city's lakes this time are PoP idols. Over 2.65 lakh mud idols of Ganesha also have been immersed in those lakes.
Earlier KSPCB Chairman Lakshman revealed that there were around 50,000 PoP idols in the market in different parts of Karnataka including 35,000 in Bengaluru alone this time. According to manufacturers, the idols sold in the market were old stock and they have sought permission to clear them this year.
The KSPCB has banned the use and immersion of PoP idols in water bodies. The action followed a notification issued by the National Green Tribunal in 2013. The NGT?had ordered pollution control boards to conduct a study on pollution caused due to immersion of PoP and coloured idols and ban them under Section 33 of The Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution)?Act, 1974.

once my parents met with tragic accident in mumbai, the auto in which they were travelling was hit head on with a truck, the truck driver fled away, my father bounced out of Auto, lying on the road unconscious with blood coming out of mouth, my mother jumped out of the auto with my younger brother who was kid then, and my mom cried for help, nobody came, she kept crying and it was evening, She was pleading for help in Tulu also, then suddenly a tempo driver who was passing by came for help, said, Akka, don't worry i will help, he took everyone to hospital, later my dad regained consciousness. He came to our house and then further we learnt that this person was a native of Mangalore and he resides at near the temple of our Kula-devi Godess on hearing my mom's plea he came to help. further he happened to be my father's elder brother's classmate. We were really thankful to his kind deed. A help came from 1000 kms away far far away to mumbai that too sent by mother godess. Else everybody was shrugging away to help my mother.

Lord rama, Ma sita, knew everything since begininng, so they never objected to whatever was happening. Even Ravan was Brahmin pandit, great Astrologer, he very well knew that Ram was Lord Vishnu himself, he wanted to attain salvation at the hands of Lord Ram, not only this he wanted salvation for his entire Rakshasa Clan so he pitted everyone against Lord Rama and got killed by Lord himself, thus everyone got Moksha (salvation) in the end.
