The case, under section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), was registered against Sakshi and three others on the complaint of Dennis Arora, a resident of Gurugram's Nirvana Country township, according to a media report.

Sakshi, Arun Pandey, Shubhawati Pandey and Pratima Pandey are co-directors in Rhiti MSD Almode Private Limited, which has shares in Sportsfit World Private Limited, a gym and fitness centre. Sportsfit World, on the other hand, is co-directed by Dennis, and his father Vikas Arora owned 39 percent shares in the company, the report continues.

The directors of Rhiti MSD Almode Private Limited had decided to buy Vikas Arora's shares from him.

Dennis alleged that while the agreement was for approximately Rs 11 crore, the directors of Rhiti MSD Almode Private Limited have paid only Rs 2.25 crore so far, and missed the 31 March deadline for clearing the dues. A complaint has been filed against Sakshi and her co-directors at the Sushant Lok police station in Gurugram, according to the report.

Arun Pandey, one of the directors of Rhiti MSD Almode Private Limited, however, said that they had paid more than the shares Vikas Arora had transferred.

Pandey added that Sakshi had left the company almost a year ago and the case could not be registered against her. Moreover, as the case is pending for arbitration after the Delhi High Court's order, no FIR should have been registered.

Sakshi has so far not reacted to the allegations. Police are investigating the matter and at the moment there is no confirmation of Sakshi's involvement in the case.

Mangaluru, Mar 31: With the Dakshina Kannada district administration relaxing the lockdown from 6 am to 3 pm to purchase essential commodities, panic-stricken citizens rushed to the shops early in the morning itself.

The citizens had formed a serpentine line in front of shops and supermarkets in different parts of Mangaluru and on the outskirts of the city to purchase their requirements.

As a precautionary measure, many were seen wearing masks.

“In spite of waiting in a long queue to purchase, we are not able to get the required essential commodities. Why can’t the district administration ensure enough stock of commodities in the shops and supermarkets,’’ asked a customer who had stood in a queue outside a supermarket at Chilimbi.
People were seen crowding outside markets at Kankanady, Mallikatte, Urwa and Central Market, violating the purpose of social distancing.

Consequently, vegetable prices have increased in the markets and shops. This is despite abundant stocks being available in these markets.

Trucks had unloaded the vegetables at Central Market on Sunday, according to sources. The prices of onions are skyrocketing yet again and is sold from Rs 50 to Rs 55 while a kg of carrot costs Rs 100.

"Why can’t the authorities check the rise in the price of vegetables and ensure that the poor are not inconvenienced," asks Lakshmi, a housewife.

Mumbai, May 30: Former Bollywood actress Zaira Wasim has deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts after being heavily trolled for quoting from the Quran while talking about locust attacks.

"So We sent upon them the flood and locusts and lice and frogs and blood: Signs openly self explained: but they were steeped in arrogance -- a people given to sin. --Qur'an 7:133," Zaira had tweeted.

Soon, she started receiving hateful comments from netizens who interpreted her post as a justification of the locust attacks. They felt that Zaira was suggesting that the incident is God's way of expressing wrath.

Shortly after being deluged with such comments, Zaira Wasim deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts.

However, a section of netizens continue to attack Zaira on her Facebook page, where she put up the same post.

Commenting on the post, a user wrote: "Lady you must have taken into account of those people of JK, Kerala and elsewhere who are also suffering from the virus. Moreover the crops which are damaged by locust had no name as to who will consume them. In this hours of crisis please post something which is positive and reflects your education."

Another user shared: "So according to you, with all due respect every year on the same time period, Allah send locust to India to destroy the crops of poor farmers who are not even involve in the industrial rise, who don't use vehicle to destroy the nature, and Allah send locust only to harm the poor farmers and not the rich one who actually destroy nature."

"So those farmers who lost there fields of crops and will probably go into debt and may also commit suicide, those farmers who feed the nation, who feed you and every one, are sinners?" asked yet another user.

However, there were a few on social media who felt Zaira had done nothing wrong.

"Quoting Quranic Verse is not a crime... Why is every Indian abusing @ZairaWasimmm. She didn't mention any particular nation or religion. I request everyone please stand with #ZairaWasim. She needs our support. #ISupportZairaWasim," goes a tweet.
