Karnataka Sports & Cultural Club holds ‘Ahlan UAE -2016’

Dubai: Karnataka sports and cultural club (KSCC), an entity registered with Community Development Authority, UAE & Govt of Dubai, recently organized a fun-filled family get-together, ‘Ahlan UAE-2016’ at Crescent English School, Al Qusais, Dubai.

It was heartening to see families including infants to all age group arriving with great enthusiasm. Kids filled the place with joy and laughter all set for a great fun time. The Family Day Out began with a UAE National Anthem and unity songs by kids. Snacks and soft drinks were served earlier in the day to energize the participants.

Vice President Ismail Mulor addressed the gathering and explained the moto of KSCC, he said this event is to strengthen the bond between Expat Indians residing in UAE, by creating a platform to exhibit their talents through various activities and to encourage adults as well as children to participate in a variety of events, thus strengthening family bonds and ensuring a fun filled evening.

He also explained the recent social works carried out by club like helping local government agencies and concern Embassies for repatriate the dead bodies to home land, Celebrated International Labour Day, Year of Reading program, conducted a blood donation campaign at Al Ghubaiba metro station.

Exciting and fun filled games were conducted to engage the gathering and electrify the day - The overall in charge of the games was Mohammad Faraz Udupi who was actively supported by all the committee members throughout the day. All the announcements were excellently handled by concern members. The significant turnout for the family Get together, included elders, youth and children.

The day, rife with fun and pleasure, involved a variety of games and spot prizes for the various age groups. Attractive Prizes were distributed for the following category of events:

Everyone enjoyed and appreciated the lavish and delicious evening snacks and a grand dinner buffet served by Tandoor Caterers. Further as a felicitation to support the guests and participants, Malbar Gold and Diamonds Sponsor Raffle Draw for Diamond Ring was conducted.

The event was successfully and systematically coordinated by committee members. The fun filled day and its success would not have been possible without the invaluable input and continued support of each office bearer and committee member. Each individual did his best to put up a successful event which was enjoyed and appreciated by all present.

Mohammad Faraz Udupi and Zunaid compered the event successfully coordinated and was well supported by the rest of the managing committee members. Iqbal Pandeshwar Team captured beautiful moments of the entire event. Thank you goodie bags were distributed to all the kids present.

Chief guests for the prize distribution event were Mr. Mohammad Akarm, Managing Director, Al Sitara Gulf Contracting and General Maintenance and Mr. Siddik Uchil from BWF, Abu Dhabi, and President of KSCC Janab Ashraf Ali were also present during conclusion the program. KSCC thanked the management of Crescent English School Management for providing the school premises and facilities, the judges who graced the event, hardworking volunteers and most importantly all those who came forward and participated, making this event a grand success. Club Secretary, praised and gave due credit to all those who sponsored to make the event a success.

Dubai, Aug 7: ‘Nama Tuluve’ Purushotham Salian, a staunch stalwart who always supported humanity and a strong pillar for Tuluvas in Dubai, passed away August, 4 at Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain. He was suffering from cancer and was admitted to Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain some time ago. He was on the last stage of illness which was not detected earlier.

His funeral last rites were conducted on Thursday August 7 at Jebel Ali cemetery in Hindu rites with a few of his family members present. Due to Covid pandemic, neither his body was able to be flown back to hometown nor could his two children come down to attend the funeral. However, it was said that his wish was to be cremated here in Dubai which unknowingly sometime back he whispered to one of his friends.

Purushotham had few years ago, survived a heart attack and fought back his life, though it had a minor paralytic effect on him. Even though, till recently he used to do his day-to-day work normally. He was a hard working personality and owned a readymade garment shop in Ajman and Dubai mostly taking care of clients with requirement of uniforms and coveralls. His dedication towards work was always appreciated by his clients who used to get their things delivered on time always.

He was never a publicity person and was helping the poor and needy in whatever ways he could silently. He strongly supported the community and was associated with Nama Tuluveru and Billawa community with commitment. He used to voluntarily come forward for the ground work of various functions of the community and used to be there until it was done perfectly.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.
