2 Muslim teens lynched to death by ruthless mob while carrying cattle

Jalpaiguri, Aug 27: Two persons were allegedly lynched by a mob, which dragged them out of a pick-up van carrying cows, at Barhoria village in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal today, the police said.

Anwar Hussain (19) and Hafizul Sheikh (19) were beaten to death by the mob, which intercepted their vehicle and pulled them out of it in the early hours, the police said, adding that the pick-up van was also badly damaged by the mob.

Police took Hussain and Sheikh to the Dhupguri hospital where they were declared brought dead. The police also took charge of the animals in the vehicle.

A large contingent of police was deployed in the area.

Infact the people actually get to be lynched like Harish  Verma the chattisgarh BJP leader who starved to death over 200 gowmathas sheer to sell the meat and skin and the people who killing their gowmathas to exports for the sake to earn money. Most of them are believed to be linked to the BJP. But poor eneducated blind bhakts of Modi still having blind faith with him irrespective of any crimes against muslims and dalits

Assan, Feb 9: Coming down heavily on Amit Shah, JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda said that the Union Home Minister is dreaming of a Hindu nation. Addressing the crowd at an anti-CAA/NRC rally in Hassan, he said that the Home Minister has forgotten that India is a secular, multi-lingual country.

“Shah cannot make India into a Hindu nation. People should come forward and oppose the Acts in the interest of peace and welfare of the nation,” the former PM said, urging secular leaders to unite and fight against the undemocratic policies put forth by the Centre.

“Only secular forces can protect minorities by taking to the streets,” he said. Talking about the controversy around former Union minister Anant Kumar Hegde’s statements, Gowda said BJP leaders are airing anti-national comments, which is disturbing peace. “Muslims, Christians and Hindus should unite to fight against the BJP’s unilateral decisions.”

Bengaluru, Apr 14: 11 more COVID-19 cases have been reported in Karnataka since 5 pm Monday, informed the state government on Tuesday.

The total number of coronavirus positive cases in the state now stand at 258, including 9 deaths and 65 discharged.

To check the spread of the highly contagious coronavirus, the 21-day lockdown announced last month has been extended by the Centre till May 3.

Meanwhile, India's total number of coronavirus positive cases has climbed to 10,363 including 8,988 active cases, 1,035 cured/discharged/migrated and 339 deaths, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said today.

Mangaluru/Udupi, June 28: The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi have recorded 97 and 40 fresh coronavirus positive cases in last 24 hours. 

With the highest single day spike, the total covid-19 positive cases in Dakshina Kannada mounted to 665, among which 272 cases are now active.

So far 313 people have recovered and discharged from the hospitals. 13 covid-19 patients have passed away. Two among them have died due to non covid reasons. 

With the 40 fresh cases, Udupi’s total mounted to 1179, among which only 135 cases are active. 1042 people have recovered and discharged from the hospitals. Two people passed away.
