Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) Saudi Arabia deploys hundreds of volunteers to serve the Hajj Pilgrims in Makkah every year. This year too, the Hajj volunteer group of KCF carried out incredible service and won appreciation from MINA Hospital of Saudi Ministry of Health just the way they did in two previous years making it a hattrick achievement this year.

Dammam zone of KCF, one of the biggest and most active zone, had sent big contingent of volunteers this time. As part of societal responsibility to honor and encourage such sincere efforts, Dammam Zone organized a colorful felicitation ceremony at the banquet hall of Classic Restaurant in Al- Khobar.

The program began with ‘ Dua’ from MoulanaYousufSa’adiAyyangeri, a renowned scholar and former president of Karnataka State SSF. Qur’an recitation was carried out by UsmanZuhri.

Mr. Faizal Krishnapura, General Secretary of Dammam Zone KCF, welcomed everyone with an introductory message. The General Secretary commended the effort of volunteers as well as organizing team of Dammam Zone, however, reminded the workers to dedicate themselves to complete the remaining task of this calendar year.

Musthafa Naeemi, the founder and chairman of Mueenusunnah Institution in Haveri district of Karnataka, inaugurated the function. He lauded the effort of KCF in carrying out volunteer service to Hajj pilgrims. He spoke at length about the great support of Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) in revolutionizing religious and general education situation in northern districts of Karnataka by establishing educational campuses where both general and religious education imparted and by carrying out awareness campaigns which is known by name IHSAAN  He remembered the initial difficult days of this revolution wherein he himself was a volunteer and appraised how situation has changed after KCF started backing IHSAAN activities in north Karnataka

Moulana Yosuf Saqafi Baithar, the Saudi National president of KCF delivered keynote address. He highlighted the difficulties faced by members who left the country due to new labor rules in Saudi Arabia and called fellow members to extend help to those in trouble. He appreciated the excellent effort of KCF Hajj volunteers and bringing credit to the organization. He urged the KCF members to dedicate themselves to humanitarian service which KCF is carrying out throughout Saudi Arabia.

The most interesting time of the program was when some of the volunteers were given mike to share their experience. Five volunteers explained vividly the satisfaction they earned when they were able to help women and aged Hajj pilgrims in tracing their team mates, finding way to their tents, carrying sick and wounded pilgrims to hospital for treatment and in many such services needed by pilgrims. Emotion ran high with everyone’s eye getting wet when volunteers narrated some of the heart rending situation experienced by them during Hajj volunteering.

Mr. Farook Katipalla, the general secretary of KCF Saudi National Committee, Mr. Kamarudeen, KCF International Committee Education Chairman and Azeez Sa’adi the former president of KCF Dammam Zone spoke briefly and wished good for the volunteers. Mr. Farook Kuppetti, the president of KCF Dammam Zone delivered the presidential address. He asked the members to use social media cautiously and use it to proliferate the message love and peace in this era wherein social media is used for spreading falsehood, rumor and hate.

Volunteers were given appreciation certificate on behalf of KCF National Committee. Along with other dignitaries, philanthropist Mr. BasheerUllal distributed certificates and felicitated the HVC organizers from Dammam zone. Mr. Haneef Manjanady, the Chairman of KCF Hajj volunteer 2017 thanked everyone for their great support to achieve unseen success at KCF Hajj Volunteering 2017. The outstanding leadership of Mr. Haneef Manjanady was in fact instrumental in making it a huge success. It was because of his effort that KCF HVC received recognition of Indian Hajj Mission this year and we were able to do service under the ID of Indian Hajj Mission.

A prayer occasion was created within the function to highlight miseries of Rohingyan Muslims and ‘DUA’ was conducted for them.

Mr. Fayaz Pakshikere, the convener of Administration wing of Dammam Zone proposed vote of thanks. The program was concluded with the melodious spiritual song by JanabBasheer Kaup which enthralled everyone.

Dubai, Aug 7: ‘Nama Tuluve’ Purushotham Salian, a staunch stalwart who always supported humanity and a strong pillar for Tuluvas in Dubai, passed away August, 4 at Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain. He was suffering from cancer and was admitted to Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain some time ago. He was on the last stage of illness which was not detected earlier.

His funeral last rites were conducted on Thursday August 7 at Jebel Ali cemetery in Hindu rites with a few of his family members present. Due to Covid pandemic, neither his body was able to be flown back to hometown nor could his two children come down to attend the funeral. However, it was said that his wish was to be cremated here in Dubai which unknowingly sometime back he whispered to one of his friends.

Purushotham had few years ago, survived a heart attack and fought back his life, though it had a minor paralytic effect on him. Even though, till recently he used to do his day-to-day work normally. He was a hard working personality and owned a readymade garment shop in Ajman and Dubai mostly taking care of clients with requirement of uniforms and coveralls. His dedication towards work was always appreciated by his clients who used to get their things delivered on time always.

He was never a publicity person and was helping the poor and needy in whatever ways he could silently. He strongly supported the community and was associated with Nama Tuluveru and Billawa community with commitment. He used to voluntarily come forward for the ground work of various functions of the community and used to be there until it was done perfectly.
