Maintain Hindu fabric of the country; can solve economic issues later: Subramanian Swamy

Belagavi, Nov 8: BJP leader and controversial “economist” Subramanian Swamy has urged the government and people to give priority to Hinduism over solving economic issues of the country.

Delivering a talk on “Intellectual Terrorism” organised by Prabhudha Bharat organisation at the KLE Centenary Convention Hall recently, Swamy said that economic issues could be resolved at any time, but continuous efforts should be made in maintaining the true Hindu fabric of the country.

He claimed that he was behind the ouster of Raghuram Rajan from the RBI. He is not an economist at all. I thank the Modi government for supporting my move, he said.

‘Rahul and Sonia will be jailed’

He ridiculed Congress leaders and said AICC president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi would go to jail soon for their involvement in several scams. It is not Indian National Congress. It is Italian Congress party, he said.

He defined intellectual terrorism as “something that makes you believe what you should not and do what you should not”.

He said he was not anti–Muslim, but expected them to live in cultural harmony with Hindus while following theological principles of the Holy Quran. Muslim women supported BJP in U.P. as it was the only party talking against triple Talaq, he said. He also said that Muslim women should be given inheritance rights to property (Interestingly, Muslim women have been enjoying the property inheritance rights since the beginning).

Kamal Haasan slammed

Swamy also criticised actor Kamal Haasan over his remarks on “Hindu terror.” He said actors were trying to enter politics in Tamil Nadu after their cinematic careers were fading.

He said there was no need to give much importance to Tipu Sultan as he had fought the British after taking money from the French, who were opposed to them. He also held socialism responsible for keeping the country backward.

Rajya Sabha member and KLE chairman Prabhakar Kore, Suresh Angadi, MP, industrialist Vijay Usalkar, Chaitanya Kulkarni of Prabuddha Bharat, and others were present.

No one including his own party takes him seriously,he is looking for some green pastures since the BJP came in to power. This statement is to please his RSS boses.Alas,no use-Modi or Shah never ever will induct him to any considerable position.

What is wrong to others is right to him. Being verbally pugnacious is integral to his personality. Promotion of Brand Swamy is essential for his survival and Twitter is an important platform for his often ludicrous comments and observations. keep Spitting Swamy!

I can say Modi is the best intelligent person in the world. And he should get business man of the year award.

Because,

1. Modi made huge benefit to Paytm (paytm ceo didnt do this much profit for his company)

2. Modi made profit to the private agency which made/maintaning aadhar things.

3. Modi made profit to Jio

4. Modi made profit to big companies by implementing demonetisation and GST (same time it affected badly on small scale retailer shop)

A criminal mind cockroach trying to enter every corner criticising and attacking minority only to take revenge after one of his family members self conversion. Fellow still with his  tanashahi dictatorship policy trying to polarize the Indian culture.

Bengaluru, Jan 24: After Honnalli legislator MP Renukacharya, Ballari City MLA Somashekara Reddy and deputy chief minister Govind Karjol, it appeared the turn of revenue minister R Ashoka to show the BJP in poor light with controversial and provocative comments against a minority community. This, despite a gag order issued by state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel.

Responding to questions on the Mangaluru International Airport bomb scare incident and how the main accused would have been treated had he been a Muslim, Ashoka on Thursday said "all anti-nationals must be shot dead". Meanwhile, Renukacharya, also a political secretary to chief minister BS Yediyurappa, continued his tirade against Muslims, insisting the government will not extend any "special package" to the community.

Soon after garlanding the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on the birth anniversary of the freedom fighter, at Vidhana Soudha on Thursday, Ashoka said: "All those who are singing the tune of Pakistan and indulging in anti-national activities, be they Hindu, Christian or Muslim, must be shot dead."

Asked to respond to former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy’s accusation that the entire Mangaluru bomb incident was stage-managed by the BJP government to divert attention, Ashoka said the JD(S) functionary "must measure his words" and not speak "like a film director who can project the police as villainous all the time".

"Kumaraswamy is a former CM. When in power, police were his closest friends, but now that he is not in government, the same police are villains," Ashoka said.

The minister reiterated the government’s stand — first floated by home minister Basavaraj Bommai —

that Aditya Rao, the main accused in the Mangaluru bomb incident, is "mentally unstable" and needs to be medically examined.

Renukacharya, meanwhile, justified comments made on Wednesday that the government will not offer Muslims "a special package".

"When they [Muslims] need development funds, they come to us and seek special packages. Once they get funds, they then vote for Congress or JD(S) in elections," Renukacharya said on Thursday. "We do not need people with such double standards. I will apply pressure on all ministers in the cabinet and even the chief minister to ensure they do not allocate any special package for the community."

Hubballi, Apr 20: Dejected over failure to get alcohol for almost one month, a forty-five year old man and his sister died after consuming hand sanitizer in Kalghatgi taluk of Dharwad district on Sunday.

The deceased persons, identified as Basavaraj Venkappa Kuruvinkoppa and Jambavva Kattimani (50) of little hamlet Gambyapur, died at Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).

The wife of the deceased person has lodged a complaint at Kalghatgi police station stating that her husband had been addicted to alcohol since the last 10-12 years.

Basavaraj and his sister have reportedly consumed hand sanitizer several times since the last 2-3 days, severely deteriorating their health as they felt it is replacement for liquor and has high levels of spirit content.

They were admitted to KIMS only by Sunday early morning after complaining of serious pain in the stomach. The KIMS director Dr Ramalingappa Anthartani said that the deceased appears to have consumed too much sanitizer and the doctors couldn't save their life as they approached the hospital very late.

He also claimed that he is awaiting the postmortem report to know how much quantity of hand sanitizer the deceased had consumed.

"Condition of the patients was very critical when they were admitted to KIMS hospital. It seems that they had drunk too much hand sanitizer for non-availability of liquor. Consumption of hand sanitizer could prove fatal as it has high chemical contents" KIMS director Dr Ramalingappa Anthartani said

The Karnataka government has prohibited the sale of liquor ever since the Centre declared lockdown to control the spread of Coronavirus. This has prompted the alcohol addicts to buy liquor by paying hefty prices in the black market.

But, many poor people in villages have started consuming cheaper hooch and this trade has recently flourished in the rural areas.

Hooch trade has also prompted officials of the excise department to conduct raids in several villages of North Karnataka region. The many theft cases of liquor shops are reported in Karnataka as drunkards have become desperate to get alcohol.

The Karnataka government was planning to allow the sale of liquor after the end of the first phase of lockdown. But, the rising cases of Corona positive cases has prompted it to extend the ban on liquor sale until May 3.
