‘Islamic State’ is not just anti-national, it’s anti-Islam too: PFI

Kannur, Nov 16, The Popular Front of India (PFI) has termed the Islamic State (IS) and other terrorist organizations that carry out attacks in the name of Islam as ‘anti-national’, ‘anti-religion’ and ‘anti-humanity’.

Addressing a public meeting here on Wednesday to explain its stand on the Islamic State in the wake of the arrest of some of its former workers for their alleged links with IS, PFI national executive member P. Koya said that Islamic State was anti-national because it was a deviation from Islam.

“Just as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh interprets Hinduism narrowly, the Islamic State, which is backed by Israel interprets Islam in a completely wrong fashion,” he said. Both the organisations were exclusionary, he added.

Referring to the reports of youths going to fight for Islamic State, Mr. Koya said that creating terror and killing people cannot be an Islamic act. He also pointed out all the Islamic scholars in the world have unanimously declared Islamic State as anti-Islamic group.

Instead of going to trouble hit foreign lands to get killed in the name of jihad, the youths should work for empowering marginalised communities in this country, he said.

It might be possible that 10 or 15 former inactive members of the PFI had gone to join IS. But, that could not be a reason for suppressing an organisation functioning lawfully, he added.

He also said that PFI was now being targeted because it saw ‘right-wing Hindutva fascism’ as its enemy.

The meeting organised by PFI district committee was presided over by district president V.K. Noufal. Rafeekh Kuttikattoor presented the topic. PFI functionaries C.M. Naseer and N.P. Shakkeel were also present.

If you can’t then please try and hire an imam for 1 hour a week.

If you can’t even do that then donate 100 rupees a week to help that cause and help them learn Quran.

If 100 rs is to much then try 10 rs. if every one will do something insted of complaining the world will definately be better place.

Insha’Allah

Do you have any proof for your blabbering, or its just coming out forged by your hatred for the community?

As per Israel – it is believed to be anti-Islamic by many, some people support Israel just for its alleged agenda.

But to your allegation of SDPI backing “jihad against kafirs” if your definition of jihad is just like ISIS/RSS -then you are legally obliged to provide proof for your allegation and put the culprits behind bar, serving our great nation. If not then this is just a defamation.

@yogesh , so you haven’t heard about saffron terrorist?

all RSS people are where and will remain Hindus!!. Further many people wear the mask of Muslims but very few are Muslims. Also the leaders name of IS is said to be Simon Elliot. In military standard false flag operation were common by Israeli before , This is just an advance tactic, A

lso if what SDPI is saying in this particular matter is right shouldn’t you say it to be right. D

isagree with them or any one where they are wrong, But not when they are right.

Bengaluru, May 17: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Transport Minister Laxman Savadi on Sunday wrote to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari requesting to issue new lockdown guidelines including permission to operate public transport and said the lockdown has caused a financial loss of Rs 16,00 crore to all four Karnataka Transport Undertakings.

In view of these problems, the state Transport Minister requested Gadkari to permit the deployment of Non-AC buses on scheduled routes to ensure the adequacy of services.

The four State Transport Undertakings (STUs) in Karnataka which are providing bus-based public transport services within the state and to the neighbouring states are Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), North Eastern Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NEKRTC) and Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).

"KSRTC, NWKRTC and NEKRTC operate buses for mofussil services i.e. Interdistrict, intradistrict and interstate, whereas BMTC operates only in urban and suburban areas in the city of Bengaluru. The four STUs put together hold a fleet of about 24,900 buses including 1,520 air-conditioned buses and operate about 71.00 lakh km. per day and carries about 98.00 lakh passengers every single day," Savadi outlined in the letter.

The Minister said due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the lockdown that ensued have brought regular bus operations and functioning to a grinding halt.

"This has caused a devastating impact on the operations of all the four STUs due to the combination of lack of revenue and continuing fixed costs such as salaries and pensions to staff, payables against existing loans etc. It has been estimated that the lockdown has caused a financial loss of INR 1,600/- crore to these four STUs," he added.

Savadi said even after post-COVID lockdown, operations and revenues won't reach its previous demand& supply patterns in the next six to eight months due to reduced economic activity and users' perceived risk of contacting COVID in public transport.

In addition to that, "occupancy should be allowed up to seating capacity (without standees). This is essential to meet minimal demand," he said in the letter.

"The crew should wear facemask and hand gloves. The crew with health issues should not be deployed. The face masks should be made mandatory for all the passengers. Only asymptomatic persons should be allowed to travel in public transport. The Government of India may consider staggering working hours for various sectors to reduce peak hour traffic demand," the minister listed out these recommendations in the letter.

Savadi said that with social distancing norm of reduced seating capacity in public transport, it will not be possible to provide transport facility to all the daily passengers. This will create demand for more buses, which cannot be met.

"Restrictions on public transport will lead to passenger commute by overcrowding in smaller vehicles like cars, maxi cabs, goods tempos etc. which will adversely affect preventive measures," he added.

Therefore, Savadi requested Union Minister to look into the above matter and issue fresh guidelines to all the states / UT's.

Mangaluru, May 23: Criticising the Karnataka government's fresh protocol for management of Covid-19 as expensive, a prominent physician in the city has demanded its withdrawal.

According to Dr B Srinivas Kakkilaya, the protocol released by the Health and Family Welfare Department on May 15 enlists unnecessary and unconfirmed tests and treatments.

The protocol has classified Covid-19 cases into three categories and has provided for hospitalisation of all three categories of patients, from asymptomatic to the most severely ill.

In a letter to the government, Dr Kakkilaya said: "The protocol suggests several investigations to be done right on the day of admission, including blood counts, liver and renal function tests, chest X Ray, ECG, CT scan of the chest, and other special investigations, all of which, if done, will cost Rs 25,000 per patient."

"In the coming days when lakhs of patients are likely to be infected with SARS CoV2, is it necessary and feasible to hospitalise and test all these patients at Rs 25,000 per person," he questioned.

The treatment options suggested in the protocol are also surprising, he pointed out. "The protocol recommends choloroquine, azithromycin, oseltamivir, zinc and vitamin C for all patients, from asymptomatic to the severely ill, and also anti coagulant injections for many patients. All these would cost at least Rs 5,000 per patient. For severe cases of Covid-19, many unproven and experimental treatments have been suggested, which are very expensive and highly questionable," Dr Kakkilaya notes.

Therefore, this protocol, he asserted was not evidence based and likely to do more harm than good. He said these unnecessarily expensive tests and allowing private companies to conduct trials on Covid-19 patients is likely to be misused by vested interests and must be immediately withdrawn, and instead, a protocol that is evidence-based, simple and avoiding unnecessary expenses, must be developed.
