Bengaluru Feb 7: The Legislative Assembly on Tuesday witnessed a heated discussion between the Congress and BJP on rowdy sheeters' list.

The BJP members charged the Congress government was including members of the Sangh Parivar in the rowdy sheeters' list for political reasons. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah while rubbishing the charge said that names of any innocent in the list will be removed.

The issue was raised by U B Banakar (BJP) during question hour. C T Ravi (BJP) said the Sangh Parivar members were being included in the list even for staging peaceful protests, while actual rowdies were roaming free.

Leader of the Opposition Jagadish Shettar said the government considered the BJP workers as rowdies and those who hoist the Pakistan flag as innocents.

Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy said only habitual offenders were being included in the rowdy sheeters' list. Shettar dared the government to make the list public. Siddaramaiah said, "Whatever is possible will be made public. If it is proved that innocents have been included in the list, their names will be removed."

BJI is correct.  RSS has no goondas or rowdies.   RSS have only cleanly chit and sainty members.   Killer of Mahatma Gandhi was also not from RSS.  Congress Govt in Karnataka is just blaming RSS without any valid proof.  Congress will not get a single seat in next election and bjp will will 100 percent seats and RSS members will be rewarded with highest honours.   BJP will rule Karnataka as per RSS headquarer insgtructions and there will be new karnataka which will grow in all aspects and will become the model state in india .  Karnataka will be the richest and riot free state .   Only bjp can save karnataka as it has dome in UP.   It was goondaraj in UP while Mayawati and Yadav were ruling.   UP is now very peaceful under the leadership of our great Saint Yogi.   YOgi was a king in his previous life and was ruling almost half of this world.   He will be king in his next life also.

Bengaluru, Jun 18: The Karnataka police has arrested a German national wanted for kidnapping and causing bodily harm to a person in his home country, an official said on Wednesday. The person was also found to be overstaying on an expired visa, which police said that it appeared that the visa had been tampered with to look more current.

"On receipt of credible information by the CID Interpol Division officers, the Red Corner Notice subject, the German national Alexander Bruno Wehnelt, was traced at Hulimangala village," a police official told media persons.

Hulimangala is on the outskirts of Bengaluru city.

Alexander, 55, escaped from Germany and took shelter in Bengaluru.

The Interpol Division of CBI NCB (Central Bureau of Intelligence, Narcotics Control Bureau) in New Delhi had communicated to the Interpol liaison officer in Karnataka's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) about Alexander, directing extensive search measures to trace the criminal at large.

The Narcotics Control Bureau of Wiesbaden in Germany was on the hunt for Wehnelt for the crimes he committed in 2015, and have finally found him five years later.

"A special team of officers was constituted by the CID - Interpol division under the supervision of ADGP (Additional Director General of Police) B. Dayananda and the Interpol liaison officer and efforts were made to trace the subject," said the official.

On Monday, the police received credible information leading to his arrest.

"It was learnt that his visa had expired in 2016 and he tried to show a visa which was issued in December 2019 which had expired on Saturday, June 13," said the official.

Prima facie, it appeared that Alexander had tampered with his visa and the police are probing on that front as well.

He was handed over to Hebbagodi Police Station in Bengaluru Urban, for his overstay and a criminal case has been registered against him, under the Foreigners Act.
