Mangaluru, Feb 8: Bharatiya Janata Party supremo Amit Shah will arrive in coastal Karnataka in the third week of February wherein he is scheduled to visit temples, mutts and meet religious and community leaders among others, party sources said.

Though the intention behind the two-day Dakshina Kannada and Udupi tour from February 18 is poll preparation, he is expected to spend more time with religious and community leaders rather than his party leaders.

According to sources, Shah will arrive at Mangaluru Airport on February 18 night and stay in Dharmasthala. After offering pooja at Sri Manjunatheshwara temple he would hold talks with Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade.

The next day Shah would visit Sri Krishna Mutt in Udupi and offer special pooja. He is expected to hold talks with the Pejawar Mutt seer Vishwesha Tirtha Swami and Paryaya Palimaru Mutt seer Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swami.

He is also expected to visit Subrahmanya temple and offer pooja. After talks with religious heads and seers in the temple, he will also take part in a party meeting. Sources said that Shah may visit coastal Karnataka once again in March.

Tumakuru, Feb 5: Former Lokayukta Justice N Santhosh Hegde has questioned the integrity of the B S Yediyurappa led BJP government as it has not taken an action to abolish the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) to re-establish the Lokayukta in Karnataka.

Speaking after felicitating the retired scientist of NASA Gopal Iyengar at the Karnataka Public School at Kadaba in Gubbi taluk he reminded that the BJP had promised to establish the Lokayukta.

"No party will like to strengthen the Lokayukta and now BSY is also tightlipped and even put an end by appreciating that ACB has been doing a good job", he regretted.

In fact, the Lokayakuta had the power to prosecute even the top brass of officials and now the ACB cannot without the government's permission, he clarified.

He denied any remarks on the CAA and NRC but observed that the youths of the country have been misguided by the politicians as they lost their focus on education by involving in protest rallies.

"I suggest they to straight away take a political plunge instead of getting misused at the hands of the politicians with selfish motives", he said.

Bengaluru, Jan 29: The Karnataka unit of BJP has urged the Centre and the State governments to ban the Popular Front of India (PFI) and the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), accusing them of harbouring terrorist tendencies.

Addressing a press meet, N Ravi Kumar, state general secretary of the party, alleged that there was a nexus between the Congress, the PFI and the SDPI.

“Recent reports have exposed the links between the PFI and the Congress,” he said, accusing Congress leader Kapil Sibal of receiving huge funds from PFI to defend their cases in the Supreme Court.

He also accused the organisations as the ones responsible for the death of 23 Hindu activists in Karnataka. Such incidents have proven that both SDPI and PFI are dubious organisations, he said.

PFI is the first kind of organization which is doing community work in all the walks of life.

and providing the helping hands to all the Indian community doing marvelous job.

this is the first organization fighting against corrupt and injustice following the principle of our father of nation mahatma Gandhi’s.

the corrupt and injustice people in the society not ready to accept their policy and trying to stop the voices of justice to the society.

I wish PFI and its sub organizations will continue to support to the society and keep the good work so that people are with you.

RSS is the most active and first ever terrorist organisation in India and it should be banned first.    There is no proof of terrorist activities by SDPI and PFI.    BJP is afraid of these organisations as they give tought resistance to BJP and this is the reason why its planning to ban these organisations.    BJP is doing propoganda only.   Real thread for peace + harmoney in India by sanghis.   We should ban them first.
