India will be free of Congress due to Rahul: Ananth Kumar

Bagalkot, May 3: India will become free of Congress only on account of Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister Ananth Kumar has said.

Campaigning for Murugesh Nirani, the BJP candidate from Bilgi on Wednesday, Union Minister Ananth Kumar said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has not declared his Rs 70-lakh watch while filing nomination from Badami.

“This is the fraud played by him on the people of the state,” he said. Accusing the Congress government of not ensuring regular power supply to farmers, Ananth Kumar said that the government looked the other way even though as many as 3,500 farmers ended their lives in the state.

Ananth Kumar, what have you done for the people other then living the life style of the rich and famous with the poor tax payers money and warming up your seat.  Nobody can match Siddaramiah he has done 100 foldes of you guys had done.. BJP leaders have nothing tangable to show that's why you guys keep bring up the  watch issue.  Please vote for Congress! so Siddaramiah can be our CM for a  better future for the people of Karnataka.

Mr. Siddu ( I am not a suppoter of him anyway) has done Something for the farmers of his state. Dont blindnly fool the people of karnataka.

Bengaluru, Jun 5: A COVID-19 patient, who was admitted to Victoria hospital, has recovered from the disease after he was administered convalescent plasma therapy.

He is the second patient in the state who has recovered from COVID-19 after the therapy.

"I am happy to inform the second plasma therapy patient has recovered and shifted out of ICU. This middle-aged patient was admitted in Victoria hospital ICU with severe COVID-19 illness and was also diabetic with poor sugar control," Dr Vishal Rao, HCG Hospital Bengaluru said.

"The patient received convalescent plasma on May 27, since then there was steady improvement in patient's condition and was taken off high flow nasal oxygen on June 2, 2020, and is at present on a minimal oxygen, shifted toward yesterday. With the rapid recovery we hope to discharge the patient soon," he said.

Speaking further, Rao said: "This is a significant improvement and reassuring. We hope to see him recover completely and will closely monitor the condition going forward to send the patient from ward to home."

In Karnataka, 4,320 coronavirus cases have been reported including 1,610 cured/discharged/migrated and 57 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Wayanad, Apr 21: Panic gripped residents of Mananthavady and Mepaddi regions of the district after several cats in the region were found dead.

A group of people approached authorities after which the Animal Husbandry Department tested samples from the carcasses and found that the cat deaths were caused by Feline Parvovirus, which does not transmit to humans.

Speaking to ANI, Dr D Ramachandran, Chief Veterinary Officer, Wayanad said that Feline Parvovirus affects cats and vaccines are available to protect cats and keep the virus at bay.

"There were incidents of cat deaths in Mananthavady and Meppadi region of Wayanad district creating panic among the local residents. The officials of the Animal Husbandry department visited the spots for epidemiological investigations. The samples were collected and sent to the State Institute of Animal Diseases, which confirmed that the deaths were due to Feline Parvovirus. There is no need to worry as this virus does not spread to humans," he said.

A cat owner in Meppadi said that within a span of two-three days, over 13 cats had died in the region.

"We are afraid of these sudden cat deaths amidst coronavirus outbreak. We have informed the Health Department and Animal Husbandry department. Officials came here and collected the samples," she said.

Mangaluru, Jan 8: Dakshina Kannada District In-Charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, on Wednesday announced that the District Administration will organise the Karavali Utsava from January 10-19 at Karavali Utsava Maidaan here in the city.

The minister was addressing a press conference on Wednesday morning at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. He informed that a rally will march from Nehru Maidaan to Karavali Utsava Maidaan on January 10 to officially mark the inauguration of the utsava. 
The rally will be flagged off by Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.

Beach Utsava and Kite Festival will be organised at the Panambur beach on January 17, 18 and 19 as a part of Karavali Utsava.
