Dammam: Indian Social Forum demands rebuilding of Babri Masjid

Dammam: Babri Masjid is the symbol of religious freedom provided by democratic system of India. Fascist forces have attacked the constitution of India by destroying the Babri Masjid which was Mulsim’s religious center and had a history of 467 years. The inverse effects of that attack is still experienced by the minority community, dalits and other backward classes of India, said Fayaz N, General Secretary of Central Committee of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province.

He was speaking at a social program ‘Lest we forget December 6...Lest we retain Hope...’, organized by the state committee of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province, on Tuesday 6th December at 8pm in Paragon Auditorium, Dammam.

“We have to intensify the struggle to retain the hope of getting our constitutional rights by utilizing the opportunities provided by the constitution. Since the demolition of Babri Masjid, India is witnessing communal riots, fake encounters, dark law, murder in the name of cow slaughter, rape and now interference in muslim personal law-Shareeat system. We have to fight for the restoration of secularism in India by reconstructing the Babri Masjid,” he said.

Other chief guests present on the dais were Imthiaz, Social Activist and President of India Fraternity Forum, Eastern Province, Mohammad Sherief Karkala, Indian Embassy Volunteer representative and also A.M. Arif, State President of Indian Social Forum, Karnataka, State Committee member, Shafi Imran delivered preface for the program.

In the beginning of the program Social Forum member Azaruddin recited the Quran. Social Forum dammam branch president, Mohammad Rafeeq delivered vote of thanks. Khalid coordinated the program.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.

Dubai: A blood donation drive was conducted by Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) at in Al Wasl Club Stadium here on Friday, 26th June 2020.

The drive started around 1:00 pm and continued till 4:00 pm as per schedule provided by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Blood Donation Centre and 60 people donated blood to support the Blood Bank. The drive was well organised by maintaining social distance in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As blood cannot be produced but only can be donated, this drive will help many patients in need of blood during emergencies. Donors were also feeling proud and happy at this moment thinking of saving someone’s life.

DHA Blood Donation Centre staff carried out the screening and testing done in very well manner keeping social distancing during this pandemic. Volunteers of KSCC were also helping the staff to keep people in safe distance and to make this drive a success.

KSCC Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi and other office bearers were present at the event venue. KSCC thanked the volunteers, Community Development of Authority (CDA), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Blood Donation Centre, Government of Dubai and Al Wasl Club Stadium for making the event successful.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.
