Bengaluru, Jan 15: Union Minister and Senior BJP leader D V Sadananda Gowda has said that it was Congress-JDS Coalition Government in Karnataka that is in need of major 'Operation' to bring it out of slumber, and not the BJP.
Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, he said, "since coming to power the Coalition government headed by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy is ailing and failed to meet the expectations of people. The BJP, which emerged as the single largest party by winning 104 Assembly seats in the 224-member house, is strong and there is no need to launch 'operation lotus' as alleged by the ruling coalition government leaders."
Mr Gowda clarified that "BJP has not indulged in any operation to woo the ruling party Legislators since the continuation of this government itself is in doubt due to its own weight of discrepancy of the people running the government and dissatisfaction among the legislators of the two parties. It is true that BJP will form the next government if this government falls on its own and not by the BJP grabbing Congress or JD(S) Legislators."
