Bengaluru, Mar 3: Three dissident Congress MLAs, including former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, are likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of the prime minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Karnataka on March six, highly placed BJP sources said.
A top party leader told UNI that the three Congress MLAs, who were facing disqualification from the Karnataka Assembly for defying the party’s whip repeatedly, may join the saffron party and contest on BJP tickets in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
Besides Ramesh Jarkiholi (Belagavi) the other two MLAs who are expected to join the BJP are Umesh Jadhav (Kalaburagi) and B Nagendra (Ballari), the BJP sources said.
