Hubbali, May 9: Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Jagadish Shettar on Thursday alleged that the Congress, after smelling defeat in Kundagol Assembly by election, is resorting to lure the BJP workers to retain the seat in May 19 by election.
Addressing newsmen here on Thursday, the BJP leader charged that Congress leaders including Water Resources Minister D K Shivakumar are trying to lure the BJP workers after sensing difficulty in retaining the Kundagol seat, held by the party.
Stating that the BJP workers will not fall prey to the Congress leaders, Shettar reminded that “Kundagol is different from Ramanagara or Kanakapura, where they can reign terror to establish political hold”.
