Bengaluru, Jan 25: The JD(S)-Congress government in Karnataka will face a threat from dissident Congress MLAs, though they are in small numbers, ahead of the 10-day Budget Session that begins from February six.
While the coalition government partners, constantly put on tenterhooks by the Opposition BJP posing a threat to its stability, the persistence of the threat of rebel MLAs in the Congress party, will cast a shadow on the longevity of the H D Kumaraswamy government before are after the State Budget is presented next month.
The Congress which has a strength of 80 MLAs in the 224-member Karnataka Assembly, is facing one of worst crisis within the party as four of its MLAs, openly rebelled and allegedly were hobnobbing with the Opposition BJP, which is very keen to see the downfall of this government.
