Cops nab two for cattle transportation; seize vehicle, five animals

Mangaluru, Sep 19: Two cattle transporters including an elderly man were arrested near Nekkiladi, under Uppinangady police station, here on Saturday night.

cattletransport The arrested have been identified as Umar (63), a resident of Chennarayapatna and Shareef (20) from Bantwal. Police have seized their vehicle along with five cattle.

According to police the two were transporting cattle without proper documents. Police personnel who were on night patrolling questioned the duo and found that the cattle were transported illegally from Hassan to Mangaluru.

They have been booked under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and sent to judicial custody. A case has been registered at Uppinangady police station.

recently i have seen one video of india bangladesh border illegal transhport, how they inhumanly hang cow and throwing one border to another border, always just learn that every life has a pain, in this life time if u cant save the animals pls dont hurt them.

Stupid people still they do not know RSS cops what they are looking for, If they could have offered a plate of Mutton Biriyani and Rs.100/- for the Police they would have released on the spot.

Women’s satyagrah, human chain mark Martyrs’ Day in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jan 30: A day-long ‘satyagrah’ by women followed by formation of human chain marked the Martyrs’ Day, the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, in Mangaluru.

The organisers were ‘We, the People of India’, whose sole intention was to safeguard constitution of India and raise voice against those to attack the constitution.

Amidst nationwide agitation by ‘We, the People of India’ against contentious CAA, NRC, the women of Manglauru have decided to hold satyagrah and form a human chain in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner in the heart of the city on January 30.

The Satyagrah commenced at 10 a.m. At 4:30 p.m. a human chain will be formed. At 5.17p.m. when the father of the nation was gunned down 72 years ago during his evening prayer at Birla House by Godse, the demonstrators raised the slogan of unity to defeat the ideology of Godse.

Abandoned bag at Mangaluru Airport triggers panic

Mangaluru, Jan 20: A suspicious unattended laptop bag with the suspicion of containing “something harmful” was found abandoned at the Mangaluru International Airport on Monday.

The bag was found kept in the rest area meant for the passengers outside the airport. According to reports, two men came in auto and left the bag near the ticket counter, which is near the VIP vehicles parking area.

The bag, which was lying unattended near the entrance of the airport was removed from the spot by the airport security personnel at 8.45 am.

Bomb detection squad personnel has rushed to the spot and shifted the bag to a safe zone, said Mangaluru Commissioner of Police P S Harsha.
