Hassan, May 23: A leopard attacked a man at Machagowdanahalli in Holenarasipur taluk on Tuesday morning. The incident came to light when village residents found the body of Panduranga (26) in the shrubs on the outskirts of the village in the afternoon.

Panduranga, a construction labourer, stayed at a darga near his village on Monday night. According to the village residents, he had been staying at the darga for the past several days. They said that his family was poor and that is why he used to visit the darga where he was sure of getting food in the evening.
