Dammam: The Dammam unit of Jam’iyyatul Falah  has planned to organize “JF MEGA COASTAL FESTIVAL 2019”, a family get-gogether for a noble cause on 5th December 2019 (Thursday) at AL-RIMAL GOLDEN ISTHIRAH at 91 Area in Dammam.

This grand event of family get-together gives a wonderful opportunity to bring together the spirit of MANGALURU to create an environment of FESTIVAL. The Festival of togetherness will bond the Mangalorean families with joy and excitement to discover an amazing native atmosphere of MANGALURU.

Jam’iyyatul Falah, the pioneer in organizing the Family-Get-Together in the Eastern Province will provide Fun, Games, Food, Sports, Quiz and Qirath Competition for Kids & Adults to make the evening full of thrill and enjoyment.

The theme of the grand event “OUR COMMUNITY IS BETTER TOGETHER” will build the mood of ecstasy from 8:30pm to 2:30am. This celebration for the Noble Cause will commemorate the 31st year of commitment and dedication in developing the awareness of Education in the community with the slogan "Education is the Key to Success" and uplifting of down-trodden families in the region. Also, the event will be dedicated to all those ‘UNSUNG HEROES” who had silently worked and contributed their time and efforts to Jam’iyyatul Falah.

The Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC), Bahrain, has charted aircrafts to repatriate stranded expatriates to India. 

Boby Parayil, General Secretary, OICC National Committee, Bahrain has thanked all those who supported in this cause.

“The aircrafts were not licensed and were in crisis until the last minute. Finally, Mohammed Mansoor, president of Bahrain chapter of Indian Overseas Congress approached IOC Middle East in charge Dr Arathi Krishna, who helped get permission to operate flight to Kozhikode,” he said in a release. 

All mandatory approvals from the Foreign Ministry of Affairs and other government officials were accomplished by Dr Arathi Krishna. OICC has expressed gratitude to her for her timely support, he said. 

OICC is also grateful to former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy for doing necessary arrangements to get all the approvals for flight landing in Kerala, he added.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.

Kuwait: Eid is usually a time of family get-togethers and feasts after weeks of dawn-to-dusk fasting. But this year people celebrated at home, with virus fears dampening the holiday spirit and strict restrictions in place.

Kuwait went under full curfew before the start of Ramadan leaving people to practice fasting and Ramadan rituals at home, Even Eid al-Fitr came under full lock-down period.

As situation demanded, IMA Kuwait celebrated the Eid Get-together online via video conferencing tool, All IMA members participated joyfully in Eid Milan online gathering which was scheduled immediately after Eid prayer. Members participated and congratulated each other on the eve of Eid.

The IMA president Shamvel Parviz addressed the gathering and thanked them for joining online for this unique Eid celebration which will be remembered in history. He also advised members to be aware of conditions of neighbors, friends and family and assist them if they need help in this difficult time.

Eid al-Fitr follows weeks of fasting and marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Thousands of Muslims all over Kuwait followed strict guideline and performed Eid prayer at home along with their family.

As a part of social service activities IMA also distributed ration kits before start of Ramadan and during Ramadan for needy people all over Kuwait.
