Dammam: JF Coastal Festival-2014 mesmerizes participants

Dammam, May 6: JF Coastal Festival 2014, the annual family-get-together of Jam’iyyatul Falah – Dammam Chapter, was held on April 24 under the theme ‘Our Community is Better Together’ in Dammam.

The event commenced with the recitation of holy Quran by Mohammad Is’haq and interpretation of its meaning emphasizing the audience to join hands with charitable organizations to help the underprivileged families in India. JF Dammam chapter president Mansour Ali Ahmed delivered welcome address.

Azmeel Contracting, NADA Milk, Gulf Co-Operation Symbols Contracting Co. Ltd, SAQCO and Al-Muzain were the main sponsors of the event. Classic Restaurant, Mogul Garden Restaurant, Raqwani Company, HIT, Zayan Restaurant, MARCON, AL-ARAKI Trading, MGA Trading, SMR Group and Abdullah Yousef M. Al-Daen Trading Est. were the co-sponsors. Mega Prizes, Raffle Round Prizes, Sports and Quiz prizes were sponsored by the JF’s executive committee members and JF well-wishers.

JF Coastal Festival-2014 was planned, formulated and organized professionally by the event organizing committee of JF Dammam chapter. The men behind the success are the event chairman Mohammad Hussain Araki, Event PRO Shahul Hameed, event manager Imran Karkala, sports coordinators Mohammad Wahid and Mohammad Siraj and event moderators Mansour Ali Ahmed and Sharief Binzager. The event organizing committee was well supported by the Executive committee members.

The entire evening was filled with various fun and exciting games like musical chair and sack race for adults and children. The games for children were well organized by Mohammad Wahid and his team, which made the children excited to play the different games like running race, dog and the bone, bombing the city, passing the parcel and in the pond on the land, etc. The attractive prizes were presented to all the winners and runners.

It was then Mansour Ali’s turn to trigger the evening with quiz competition session. The quiz was efficiently and meticulously handled and kept the crowd entertained throughout the evening. The Winners and Runners were presented with the prizes by the dignitary guests available in the event.

At the women’s section, all attendees’ women, youth and children had participated in various games. There were many games and activities, organized to all the age-group persons. Participants were divided into three teams. All the winners were presented with attractive prizes. Ex-NRCC Ameer Shahul Hameed proposed vote of thanks.

Sumptuous dinner with typical Indian cuisine was served to delight all the guests. The snacks and Juice were continuously distributed to children throughout the evening. The special ‘Dum-Ki-Chai’ kiosk was sponsored by Zayan Restaurant was the attraction of the evening.

Jam’iyyatul Falah has been serving the community especially in education for the last 25 years since its inception in the year 1988. JF kept the momentum going by expanding the charity work by rendering voluntary service to the down-trodden families in the coastal belt of Karnataka through its 11 Taluk units. JF is also well supported by its overseas Units mainly from Dammam, Riyadh, Jubail and Jeddah.

Doha: Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF) once again set an example that no caste, creed, language and religion comes as hurdle for their humanitarian services and helped to perform last rites of Ramesh who committed suicide in Doha-Qatar.

45-year-old Ramesh son of K. Nagan hailing from Panikulam, Thrissur district in Kerala, who was working as a tailor committed suicide in his house at Ruwias in Qatar on 30th May 2020.

On hearing this news, some of his friends in Kearla informed Mr. Shihab who is also from Thrissur and a member of QISF and the same was brought to the notice of QISF humanitarian team head Mr. Abdul Latheef Madikeri and Basheer Ahmed of Tamil Nadu.

Immediately, the QISF team intervened and contacted the family members of the deceased in India and discussed the matter and consequences of sending the body back home to India in this pandemic COVID 19 situation.

Considering the prevailing situation, the family members gave the consent to bury the body in Qatar itself.

QISF team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation.

Finally, the body of the deceased was buried in Qatar on 7th June 2020 and the copies of all the relevant documents have been handed over to the family members.

The family members of the deceased thanked and applauded the leaders and all the members of QISF for their effective and on time humanitarian service rendered even in this pandemic crisis and having no bias.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.

Kuwait: Eid is usually a time of family get-togethers and feasts after weeks of dawn-to-dusk fasting. But this year people celebrated at home, with virus fears dampening the holiday spirit and strict restrictions in place.

Kuwait went under full curfew before the start of Ramadan leaving people to practice fasting and Ramadan rituals at home, Even Eid al-Fitr came under full lock-down period.

As situation demanded, IMA Kuwait celebrated the Eid Get-together online via video conferencing tool, All IMA members participated joyfully in Eid Milan online gathering which was scheduled immediately after Eid prayer. Members participated and congratulated each other on the eve of Eid.

The IMA president Shamvel Parviz addressed the gathering and thanked them for joining online for this unique Eid celebration which will be remembered in history. He also advised members to be aware of conditions of neighbors, friends and family and assist them if they need help in this difficult time.

Eid al-Fitr follows weeks of fasting and marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Thousands of Muslims all over Kuwait followed strict guideline and performed Eid prayer at home along with their family.

As a part of social service activities IMA also distributed ration kits before start of Ramadan and during Ramadan for needy people all over Kuwait.
