Darul Irshad Saudi Arabia to honour Zakariya Muzain

Jubail: Darul Irshad Saudi Arabia is holding its general body meeting on October 21 at Cookxon hotel Auditorium in Jubail, Saudi Arabia in the presence of Zainul Ulama Mani Usthad who is on a visit in Saudi Arabia.

Darul Irshad Educational Centre, Mani, the pioneer in establishing School Education set up in Madarasa Campus in Karnataka, celebrated its silver jubilee year in 2015.

As a part of silver jubilee celebration, Darul Irshad had felicitated achievers in various field from Muslim community in the presence of Chief Minister Siddaramiah in Bangalore last year.

Mr. Zakariya Muzain was a unanimous choice in the NRI philanthropist category. However, Mr. Zakariya Muzain was not able to participate in the colorful silver jubilee valedictory function held in Bangalore where achievers were felicitated.

Zainul Ulama Mani Usthad will present the Award to Mr. Zakariya Muzain in joint function that will be held along with general body meeting in Jubail. Good number of Mangalureans from Jubail- Dammam area are expected to attend this function.

Darul Irshad Saudi Committee has extended invitation to all well wishers of Darul Irshad.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Mangaluru, May 22: An elderly cardiac patient from Dakshina Kannada, who was stranded in Saudi Arabia due to covid-19 lock-down, has finally reached his homeland thanks to the timely intervention by Humanity Forum Jubail and Indian Social Forum.

The elderly man hailing from Kadaba area of Dakshina Kannada was admitted to a hospital in Madinah. However, his condition continued to worsen due to lack of proper treatment. The efforts by his family members to bring him back home had not yielded results.

Meanwhile, one of the relatives of the patient, Ansari Suratkal, who happens to be a DKSC activist, brought the issue to the notice of the Karnataka unit of the Indian Social Forum in Dammam. ISF contacted Humanity Forum president Zakariya Jokatte, who helped the patient to speak directly union minister D V Sadananda Gowda in a video conference organised by coastaldigest.com.

Humanity Forum also persuaded the Indian Embassy to allow the stranded cardiac patient to fly back to India through Dammam-Bengaluru repatriation flight on May 20. 

However, it was not easy for the patient to travel from Madinah to Dammam International Airport due to lock-down and curfew. ISF not only obtained travel permission for him but also arranged vehicle. Jeddah and Riyadh units of ISF helped in obtaining permission letter in their respective places in spite of travel ban imposed by the police. Madinah unit of ISF arranged vehicle for transportation. Zakariya Jokatte bore the air ticket and other expenses of the patient.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.
