July 21, 2016

Mumbai, Jul 21: For now, at least, Deepika has the edge. The teaser trailer of XXX The Return Of Xander Cage shows her smouldering with Vin Diesel with an ethnic intensity as she warns him that whatever he has come for , will fall short.

Unofficial source from the company explains, “Deepika plays Serena the girl who gives Diesel tit for tat. She is no walkover in the plot. And she doesn’t play an Indian. The director allowed her to speak in the accent she wanted. She has a very substantial role in XXX , much more so than Priyanka Chopra in Baywatch. If you notice no leading lady opposite Dwayne Johnson ever has much to do. ”

Viacom hopes to grab the Indian market on the strength of Deepika’s presence. “Deepika is not going to be seen in any film this year in 2016.In 2017 Deepika will be seen in only two films. XXX The Return Of Xander Cage at the beginning of the year. And Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati at the end of the year.”

Interestingly she plays a kind of a beauteous warrior in both the films.

Incidentally Baywatch will also be released by Paramount-Viacom in India . But 4 months after Deepika’sXXX.Priyanka, insist unconfirmed reports, is part of a large ensemble cast in Baywatch.

Says a well-informed source, “Priyanka is important but not pivotal to Baywatch.Let’s put this way. Priyanka’s Indian fans would be disappointed by the length of her role . But her newly-acquired fan following in the West would be delighted to see her play the bad girl . Deepika in XXX would be a surprise to the West. They haven’t seen her do anything in the US before. She will be a revelation in the West .At home the Bollywood audiences would for once feel the West has been fair to one of their stars.”

XXX will release in 5 languages in India and will have more prints and screens in India than any other Hollywood film including The Jungle Book.

In brief Deepika as Serena will rock the desi theatres as much as she did with her Mastani act .Out West she will get more footage and attention than any other major or minor Indian actress.

The searches, which began in as many as 38 locations in Tamil Nadu, were still on and unaccounted cash of about Rs 25 crore was seized from the premises of a Tamil film financier who had faced allegations of intimidation and arm-twisting to recover money, official sources told PTI.

Also, several documents indicating substantial tax evasion has been seized, sources added.

Vijay, who was away in Cuddalore district for a film shoot, was apprised by authorities about the searches and he was en route to his residence here, they said.

So far nothing has been recovered from the actor's house and the inmates were cooperating with authorities in conducting the searches, sources said.

Raids were also on in the premises of the production house that had made Vijay's hugely successful recent Tamil movie 'Bigil.'

Further details are expected after completion of searches which is likely to continue tomorrow.

Washington, April 3: American actor Kristen discussed her experience being isolated with husband and their two kiddos.

According to Fox News, the 39-year-old actor discussed how she and Shepard are finding quarantine to be a little tough in a video chat to Entertainment Tonight.

Bell admitted: "We've gotten on each other's last nerve these last couple days. We're doing much better now because were laughing about it. But when we were not laughing about it for the first couple of days, that's the hard spot."

The 'Bad Mom' actor then shared her thoughts on why quarantining with loved ones can be so tough. She explained that she loves spending time with her husband and he loves spending time with her.

But what she thinks is different about this quarantine time is you have so much more time to think about the other persona and their actions and sort of replay what they said or attach a meaning to something that they did.
Bell added: "Nobody really needs time for that. That's useless."

The 'Frozen' actor also discussed having to make adjustments in regards to her kids, 7-year-old Lincoln, and 5-year-old Delta, and the schedule she tried to keep once the quarantine began.

She said that the biggest lesson she learnt, in the beginning, was that she wrote out the colour coded schedule, and noted about when will be their academic and academic time.

Kristen explained that by day five of schedule, she was making everybody miserable. About a week ago, she woke her kids up and encouraged her daughters to rip up the schedule, explaining that the kids "felt so good."

"I said the learning lesson here is that if you make a plan and it's not working, you pivot," said Bell.
