Bengaluru, Oct 25: Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda on Friday opposed the proposed Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership with other Asian countries, and said he would lead an agitation against the move.
Speaking to newsoersons here on Friday, the former prime minister said "The dairy farmers are in distress due to sharp fall in the milk procurement price due to production of surplus milk products".
"In this circumstances if government allows imports of dairy products, the farmers will be pushed to hardship" he said.
