Bengaluru, Jan 17: With the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party’s plan to destablise the JD(S)-Congress coalition government in Karnataka come a cropper, all eyes are now on the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) meeting convened by Coordination Committee Chairman of the State government Siddaramaiah, on Friday.
Congress party is in a buoyant mood after it faced rebellion within the party and the threat over the government now a thing of the past, Mr Siddramaiah has sent letters to all Congress legislators to attend the CLP meeting or else face disciplenery actions under anti-defection law.
The meeting will be held in Vidhana Soudha, and would be attended by the KPCC president, Dinesh Gundu Rao, former Chief minister Siddaramaiah and the Deputy Chief minister Dr G Parameshwara and others.
