Dr Arathi Krishna to address NRKs, interact with community leaders in Dammam on Feb 24

Dammam, Feb 23: Karnataka NRI Forum, Dammam Eastern Province, will hold a felicitation ceremony for Dr Arathi Krishna, Deputy Chairman, NRI Forum of Karnataka government, during her official tour of Saudi Arabia.

President of Karnataka NRI Forum Eastern Province, Zakaria Bajpe Al Muzain, said in a press release that, she will be addressing non-resident Indians/Kannadigas, interacting with the various community leaders, Indian entrepreneurs and notable personalities at Hotel Holiday Inn in Al-Khobar on Saturday, February 24.

Mr. Zakaria Bajpe said that this is a right opportunity for Kannadigas to share their concern and issues pertaining to current crisis resulting in large number of NRI/NRKs to return to their home land. He urged Indian businessmen to interact with Dr Arati Krishna to utilize the opportunity provided by the Karnataka Government.

Representative from local community, NGOs, columnists, diplomats and businessmen from various parts of Karnataka are invited to attend the event.

Zakaria Bajpe and Office Bearers of Karnataka NRI Forum Dammam Eastern Province appreciated Dr Arathi Krishna’s decision to visit Saudi-Kannadiga NRIs during much needed time. She will also be visiting Riyadh and Jeddah.

5 police stations sealed in Udupi after 3 cops test covid positive

Udupi, May 24: Three among the 18 coronavirus positive cases reported in Udupi district today were policemen.

A police constable of Karkala Rural Police Station and ASI of Ajekar Police Station were tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday and authorities have taken steps to seal the Police Stations they were working. A policeman from Brahmavar police station also tested positive.

The district administration reported seal Karkala Rural Police station, Ajekar Police Station, and Brahmavar Police Station. Apart from them Karkala Town Station and Circle station are being sealed. All the policemen and policewomen working in these five stations will be quarantined.

Superintendent of Police N Vishnuvardha said that ''all the primary contacts of the police officers who were tested positive will undergo screening and their swabs will be collected and sent to Lab for test.''

Don't come to Shirdi: Saibaba Trust appeals to devotees

Mumbai, Mar 16: Shri Sai Baba sansthan trust on sunday appealed to devotees to postpone their visit to Shirdi for a few days in view of coronavirus outbreak in the country.

"As per the directives of the government, I request the devotees to postpone their visit to Shirdi for a few days," said Arun Dogre, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Sai Baba sansthan trust, Shirdi.

On Saturday, the Siddhivinayak temple located in Prabhadevi has instructed all its employees to wear masks, while hand sanitizers have been provided to everyone inside the temple.

Speaking to news agency,Siddhivinayak trust chairman , Adesh Bandekar had said, "We are providing sanitizers to all the devotees in the temple and where they stand in a queue holding the railings, are being cleaned in every 30 minutes."

Coronavirus, which originated in China's Wuhan city, has so far spread to more than 100 countries infecting over 1,20,000 people. In India, 107 persons, including foreign nationals were tested positive till March 15 at 12 pm.

Jals-e-Uchila get-together held in Dammam

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.
