Dr Kafeel Khan who saved hundreds of infants sacked amid Yogi’s visit

Dr Kafeel Khan, a paediatrician and the head of the encephalitis ward at Baba Raghav Das Medical College, who saved hundreds of children by collecting oxygen cylinders from various nursing homes, was removed as the Nodal Officer after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Health Minister JP Nadda visited the hospital.

The doctor reportedly thought on his feet and arranged for oxygen cylinders with the help of his friends and private vendors. According to a report in DNA, parents of children admitted to the hospital said that had it not been for Khan, the number of fatalities could have been far higher.

Meanwhile, in a bizarre development, one Dr Bhupendra Sharma was appointed as nodal officer instead of Khan at BRD Medical College. However, no official reason has been given for Khan’s removal.

Dr Khan borrowed three oxygen cylinders from other nursing homes when the oxygen supply at BRD Hospital and even withdrew Rs 10,000 from his personal account to purchase 17 oxygen cylinders in order to save as many infants as possible.

Meanwhile, another child succumbed to encephalitis on Sunday, taking the death toll over 70. 11 children died on Saturday.

Whatever is happening all over india is the leaders are arrogant & PRIDE to fulfil their eVIL agenda of cheddis without caring for the poor.  If people dont unite together from all community ... Shame to CM and anybody who sacked the doctor instead of praising him. 

The God is great. What will you expect from these people.

 

We are really ashmed of showing our face that we are the citizen of India where UP belongs to it, on account of the death these innocent little babies.

Bengaluru, Jul 31: An ambulance driver was thrashed by the family members of a 75-year-old COVID-19 patient who passed away on his way to the hospital in Bengaluru on Thursday.

The incident happened after the patient died in the ambulance while waiting in front of the MS Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru.

The driver was dragged out of the ambulance and chased around by a relative.

His clothes were ripped off and harangue were hurled at him. The relative was seen shouting and blaming the driver for the patient's death.

Speaking to news agency, the driver said that he was unable to explain the sequence of the protocol which was to be followed while getting the patient to the treatment ward.

Karnataka is one of the worst-affected states by the coronavirus pandemic. According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the state has 67,456 active cases as of Friday.

The state government has been struggling to contain the spread of the disease as it has intermittently imposed and eased lockdown measures, especially in the capital Bengaluru.

Bengaluru, Jul 4: With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Bengaluru, the state government has decided to impose a total lockdown in Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits.

The lockdown will start from 8 pm today till 5 am on Monday. The sale of essential items will only be allowed during the total lockdown.

"Complete lockdown to be imposed from 8 pm today till 5 am on Monday in Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits, as per instructions by Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa in view of COVID-19," BBMP Commissioner Anil Kumar said on Saturday.

"Sale of essential items will be allowed during the lockdown, including meat shops. Police action will be taken against people found roaming outside unnecessarily," he said.

With the number of cases increasing by 994 in the last 24 hours, the total of cases in the city now stands at 7,713. Of these, 6,297 are active cases.

So far, Karnataka has 19,710 cases with 293 deaths. While 8,805 people have recovered from the deadly virus.

At the national level, the total number of cases have now surged to 6, 48,315 out of which 3, 94,227 patients have recorded, while 18,655 have lost their lives.

Bengaluru, May 9: With 41 new cases of COVID-19 reported on Saturday, the total number of positive cases in Karnataka has reached 794, said the state Health Department.

Out of the total number, 386 are discharged and 30 patients have passed away. The total number of active cases now in Karnataka is 377.

The total number of positive coronavirus cases across the country is 59,662, including 39,834 active cases.

Till now, 17,846 patients have been cured and discharged and 1,981 deaths have been recorded in the country, as per the data provided by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
