Mumbai, Jul 16: Dr Zakir Naik, who is known as the authority on comparative religion, has reportedly filed defamation case against 10 media houses for making baseless allegations against him and airing his video clips out of context to mislead people.

When asked about his plans to return to India this year, he said: “For media trial? I can answer to allegations in a better way from where I am. I have served defamation on ten media houses. No investigating agency or officer has approached me till now,” said Dr Naik.

“I have again and again said that killing an innocent is like killing entire humanity. I condemn terrorism and also the attack in France though I am yet to get more information on it,” said Naik as he started his conference.

On people who were part of his organisation but were questioned or youths that went missing had met him, Naik said, “I meet thousands of people and they take pictures with me. How am I supposed to know about each of them.”

It is good that the media houses are being sued for defamation. Media should stop slandering and making false stories against people. Only when an FIR / case is registered, should they break the story.

This has been going on for such a long time and a stop has to be put. Arnab Goswami and his type have taken a beating out of this case. Even the government has lost a lot of credibility because of this case.

Well done.. WE ARE WIth U Dr. Zakir Naik...
People are Fooled since decades with manipulating the facts and presenting to the public...
Presenting news with suits and ties and make up doesnt make anybody Good and Trust worthy... We should look at who is behind it... there are many corporations who play with the minds of people... who lobby all this evil propagands even the cheddis have fallen to this category.
We should teach this decievers a lesson...

But ALLAH has power over all things... Those who know ALLAH, will never be in FEAR of any situation.. May ALLAH make us one of them.. it is the greatest blessing from the CREATOR of all the Exists.

New Delhi, Mar 29: "What corona? My children are hungry, they have walked from Gurugram with me do you think corona is what I fear?," Yogesh Gangwar who is salesman in a cloth showroom said as he wiped his tears.

Many others regret for not leaving the city early on.

"God knows when we will reach our hometown. My family was telling me to leave work early in March and get back, but I avoided suggestions and now I am stranded here," Babu Ram who hails from Rampur and works at a plastic recycling factory here in Mundka told media.

Migrant labourers were forced to walk as the public transport were closed and borders were sealed due to the lockdown.

"There is no food to eat, I cannot pay rent of room without my daily wages so I decided to walk with my family from Narela to here. I just hope I get a bus soon," Revati, who works as construction labour said as she fed her three-year-old with pieces of bread that one of the policemen at Anand Vihar gave her.

However, when Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh decided to deploy around 1,000 buses to help these workers reach their respective hometowns, thousands of them reached Anand Vihar ISBT with a hope to catch one of these buses.

The Delhi government also announced that 100 buses have been deployed to help those trying to reach to their homes in other states on foot.

In order to avoid the spread of the virus, the police asked the people to stand in three queues and also asked the people to de-board the overcrowded buses.

Earlier, budget passenger carrier SpiceJet had offered its aircraft to operate few flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Patna to take migrant labourers, particularly from Bihar, who have got stuck in various parts of the country due to COVID-19 related lockdown.

Bengaluru, May 5: Life is limping back to a new normalcy in most parts of Karnataka with easing of Covid-19 induced restrictions yesterday as the State headed into the third phase of lockdown started since March 24.

According to the guidelines issued by the Centre, industrial activities, construction works, essential, non-essential shops, delivery of essential goods through e- commerce, courier and postal services, banking and agriculture activities, plying of four-wheelers and two-wheelers and inter-state movement of goods vehicles is permitted in all the zones, whereas buses are allowed to ply only in green and orange zone districts.

This apart, sale of liquor was also allowed at the designated shops. Police said vehicular movement is allowed only from 7am to 7pm for ordinary citizens.

Clarifying about the movement of people, Bengaluru police commissioner Bhaskar Rao tweeted, "From Monday you don't need a pass to move in Bengaluru between 7am and 7pm. After 7 pm and up to 7am the following morning, even if you have a pass you are not allowed to move except medical and essential service. Checkpoints will remain and your ID may be asked. Please be responsible." After the restrictions were lifted, heavy vehicular movement was witnessed in parts of Bengaluru leading to traffic jam in some areas.

Chikpet, which is the main trade area in Bengaluru, saw some activities.

With restrictions on public transport continuing, this unusually crowded place had very less footfall. "Movement of public is limited due to ban on public transport, such as city buses and Metro Rail.

"The trade activities are taking place between retailers," trade activist and joint secretary of Jain International Trade Organisation Sajjanraj Mehta said .

Select liquor shops in the city and other parts of the state pulled up shutters after being closed for about six weeks due to the lockdown with tipplers thronging them in huge numbers at many places.

Some traders in the city complained that they received notices regarding the Tax Deduction at Source for the month of April "thought here were no trading activities."

Meanwhile, Chief minister B S Yediyurappa announced on Monday that free bus service for migrant labourers, which is operating smoothly, has been extended till Thursday.
