Dubai: KSCC holds blood donation drive

Dubai: Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) recently organised Blood Donation Dive at outside Union Metro Station, Deira Dubai in association with Dubai Health Authority, Community Development Authority Government of Dubai.

Mr. Mohammad Ismail, Vice President of KSCC, inaugurated the program by addressing the gathering by highlighting and briefing about the event. The club Vision is to develop the Expatriates into a well-nourished section of the society in Sports, Cultural and Social activities. He also appreciates Community Development Authority for their continuous support and cooperation. He also added that CDA and DHA had appreciated them with certificate of appreciation for their social services. He took this opportunity to enlighten the benefits of donating blood to the donors and gathering.

Chief Guest for this drive Mr Abdul Rahiman, Manager of NAIF Medical centre and Dr. Sathyajit Rajeevan, General Practitioner in Naif Medical Centre. Dr. Sathyajit Rajeevan also addressed the gathering with his useful information on benefits of donating Blood.

Around 80 people participated in this drive and donated blood to save someone’s life. KSCC presented blood donor with gift as appreciation and arranged snacks for their better health. Event started from 8 am in the morning and ended with completing full units of capacity arranged till 1.00 pm. People were happy and honour to participate and donating blood.

Mohammad Faraz hosted the ceremony and concluded by delivering thanks to Dubai Health Authority, Community Development Authority, Government of Dubai for their association for this event with all the volunteers and supporters. He also thanked the sponsors NAIF MEDEICAL CENTRE and honoured them with Guest of Honor felicitation trophy.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) organized Blood Donation Camp at Latifa Hospital, Oud Mehta Dubai on April 23rd, 2020 in association with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and with support from Community Development Authority (CDA) Government of Dubai.

Blood Donation Drive started in the morning at 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Around 48 people participated in this drive and donated blood to support the Dubai Blood Bank.

A potential shortage of blood for transfusions has been occurred due to a significant reduction in voluntary blood donations during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The current pandemic, health services are now running with shortages of blood availability. To support the DHA Blood Bank KSCC taken initiative to ensure that blood donations continued and are safe for both the donor and the recipient.

After taking safety precaution and safe distance during the blood donation donors feeling happy and honored to participate and donate blood at this pandemic situation. Club Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi was also present during this event.

KSCC appreciated all the blood donors and be grateful to Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Community Development Authority (CDA), and Government of Dubai for their association for this event. They also thanked the volunteers and supporters.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.
