Eagle Friends Riyadh win JF Super Cup 2016

Riyadh: Jam'iyyatul Falah, Riyadh Unit organized JF Super Cup 2016 knock-out cricket tournament in association with MCA Riyadh under the sponsorship of SMSA, Universal, SAQCO and Mash Logistic at Exit-18, Sulai MCA Grounds, Riyadh, from April 1 to April 22.

As many as 22 teams took part in the tournament with the matches being held every Friday morning. Teams were divided into two groups. Preliminary rounds were played on April 1 and April 8. The second round and quarter final were played on April 15 and semi-finals and final were played on April 22.

The first semi final was played between SCFC and Kings Ullal, wherein the latter won the toss and elected to field. SCFC scored 104 runs in their allotted 10 0vers (Riyaz, 40 of 16 balls, was the main scorer for SCFC) giving target of 105 runs to win for Kings Ullal.

Imthiyaz of Kings Ullal took hat-trick wickets in the final over. The match was won by Kings Ullal who reached the target in 9.2 overs with splendid batting by Jazim scoring 41 runs in 24 balls and was declared man of the match for his match wining innings.

Score Sheet : SCFC (Riyaz 40 runs of 16 balls - Kings Ullal bowling - Imthiyaz – 3 wkts for 18 runs, Arshad & Ranil took 2 wks each) Kings Ullal (Jazim 41 runs of 24 balls - SCFC bowling – Mithun & Nishad took 2 wkts and Deepu & Abdul Rehman 1 wkt each)

The second semi final was played between Eagle Friends Riyadh and Mangaluru Challengers. The toss was won by Mangaluru Challengers who opted fielding. Eagle scored 104 runs in their allotted 10 overs. Haris – 38 runs of 20 Balls, Azzez – 22 runs of 9 balls and Musharaf – 16 runs of 4 balls were the main scorers. Ashraf took 3 wickets while Bakhtiyar took 2 wickets for Mangaluru Challengers.

The target set for Mangaluru Challengers was 105 runs in 10 overs. Mangaluru Challengers failed to reach the target and could score only 93 runs in their allotted 10 overs. Eagle Friends Riyadh won by 11 runs. Haris of Eagle Friends Riyadh was declared the Man of the Match for his 38 runs in 20 balls.

The final was played between Eagle Friends Riyadh and Kings Ullal. The toss was won by Kings Ullal and selected fielding. Eagle started their innings by losing 2 quick wickets of Badruddin and Haris. The third wicket partnership between captain Musharaf and Rashid was the highlight of their innings who scored 24 and 27 respectively to stabilize the innings. The finishing touch of Eagle Friends innings was done by Azeez scoring 22 runs of 13 balls to make the total runs 98 in their allotted 10 overs.

In reply Kings Ullal lost their best player in first over. The subject was left with Khurram and Jazim the backbone of King Ullal. A partnership built between the two players but Azeez of Eagle took the wicket of Jazim for 16 runs. Khurram and Jihan continued scoring runs but could not reach the wining target. Khurram scored 41 runs in 27 balls and Jihan scored 16 runs in 9 balls. Niyazuddin took 3 wkts for 15 runs and was declared Man of the Match.

After the final match, prize distribution ceremony was held. Bro. Akhtar Sheikh (Ex-President of JF Riyadh and Ex-Ameer of NRCC Unit) inaugurated the ceremony, in the presence of the chief guest Mr.Mubarak Sayyari with Bro.Shahul; Hameed (Ex-President of JF Dammam, Bro. Sadulla (Ex-President of Jf-Riyadh), (Mr Rajesh Kumar President of Karawali Welfare Association, Mr. Abdul Azeez (President of DKMO Riyadh), Mr. Shamshu (President of MCA Riyadh), Mr. Sahteesh Amin (Secretary of MCA Riyadh), Bro. Abdul Basheer (Ex-President of JF Riyadh).

Bro. Akhtar thanked all the participating teams for their cooperation and support to complete the tournament in a best sporting way and for the good cause He also thanked all the Executive Committee Members of JF Riyadh who strived hard for the success of the tournament.

Akthar Shaikh in his welcome speech briefed the audience about Jam’iyyatul Falah, a charity organization established in 1988 in Mangalore. The organization is providing educational needs to poor children of the down-trodden families. JF presently run one school offering free education to over 400+ students in rural areas at no cost, and a Boys hostel with 150 beds. We extend scholarships to over 3500 deserving students each year and distribute free books. Also, provide regular sponsorship to Orphan/Poor students, ambulance service, Medical aid, 5 Kidney Dialysis Machines to poor at free of cost, he said. He also requested the players to join the committee for the good cause and to extend their support.

Addressing the gathering, Mr.Mubarak Sayyari, expressed his views and thanked JF Riyadh for giving the opportunity to be a part of their events and appreciated the JF Team for their hard efforts in uplifting the community back home. Also he congratulates the winning teams.

Mr. J. Shetty, Mr. Ali and Mr. Azeez were honoured for their service during the tournament. Finally, Pervez Ali, Ex-president of JF Riyadh unit, being the host of the ceremony thanked all the guests, sponsors, participating teams and Executive Committee Members of JF Riyadh for extending their support for this noble cause and making this event a grand success.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Jeddah: The first chartered flight for repatriation passengers from Jeddah to Bengaluru organized by Karnataka NRI Forum Jeddah – Saudi Arabia was successfully landed at Bengaluru airport by 01.00 am on 19th July 2020.

Spice Jet (SG9884) departed from King Abdul Aziz International Airport Jeddah by 05.00 pm local time with 177 stranded passengers which includes 12 Pregnant Woman, 3 infants, 44 Short term visa holders, 3 medical emergency patients and 115 migrate workers and labours from various districts of Karnataka state.

Karnataka NRI Forum Jeddah, a registered charitable organization under Government of Karnataka & Indian Consulate Jeddah - Saudi Arabia, helping the Kannadigas overseas & in Karnataka State as well, has initiated major role for helping stranded Kannadigas to travel back to home. During Pandemic hundreds of stranded Kannadigas were approached to the forum and requested to arrange special chartered flight to Bengaluru from Jeddah.

Initiating from collecting the data of passengers, the forum’s special panel including its President Mr. Mohammed Mansoor, Secretary Mr. Peter Mascarenes, Vice Presidents Mr. Nasir Khurshid, Dr.Ashfaque Maniyar, Chief Coordinator Mr. Shaikh Saoud, Cultural Secretaries Mr. Arifulla Shariff and Mr. Rajesh Suvarna, Treasurer Mr. Habib Rahman and Press Secretary Mr. Baig, the forum’s members have worked very hard to conclude this task very successful. 

The forum provided food packets as refreshment, complementary PPE kitsto each passenger as precaution against the spread of any infections while travelling and also guided all passengers by supporting them in Awdha portal (Saudi Passport Department) and Seva Sindhu portal registration of Government of Karnataka.

The official travel partner ITL Travel Management Company has rendered remarkable service to the passengers not only in ticketing but also supported with top priority in confirming the aircraft from SPICE JET and availed good service from ground staff at Jeddah Airport. 

All passengers have reached safely to their homes after completing the 7 days institutional quarantine at Bengaluru. 100% passengers had NEGETIVE report on Covid-19 test made on arrival as well as after institutional quarantine. 

In the press release published from the President, Mr. Mohammed Mansoor has expressed his prodigious gratitude to the Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia H. E. Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, Deputy Consul General of India - Jeddah Mr. Y Saber and Chief Minister of Karnataka State Shri B. S. Yediyurappafor providing necessary approvals and NOC for the chartered flight operation. He also conveyed his boundless appreciationto Shri B. Y. Raghavendra, Member of Parliament Shimoga District (Karnataka) for his swift support extended to the forum and as well to Dr. Aarathi Krishna, Ex-Deputy Chairperson – NRI Forum of Karnataka – Government of Karnataka for her significant guidance and support on completing this mission.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.
