Bengaluru, Mar 7: CCB Police have arrested a local education institute ‘founder’ on the charges of cheating young job aspirants to the tune of Rs 80 lakh by promising to get them Karnataka government jobs.
Police said on Thursday that the arrested was identified as Siddalingeshwara Education Institution, Gadag, Founder and Chairman Veerannagouda Basanagouda Patil.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that since last five years he has been targeting, job aspirants in rural areas, belonging to poor and middle-Class families and by promising them to get government jobs was collecting Rs 2 lakhs to Rs 5 lakhs from each of them.
