EIFF’s GoFEST UAE 2015 enthralls Dubai audience

Dubai: The Karnataka chapter of India Fraternity Forum organized GoFest UAE-2015, a family get together at Bilwa Indian School Auditorium, Al Qusais, Dubai on May 29.

The event created the environment of festival. The theme of the event was ‘Where Family Unite’. Men, women and children discovered an amazing native atmosphere of fun.

The celebration commenced with the singing of national anthems of India and UAE.

In the inaugural address, Mohammed Naveed, the executive member of EIFF urged the NRIs who lead a mechanical life inside the four walls to cherish and to enjoy along with their families.

EIFF, Karnataka Executive members Abdul Rasheed, Ashraf Hasan and Mubeen Karkala and leading entrepreneur Mohammed Sherief of Khushi Group were present.

The evening featured various funs and exciting games for children and adults like Singing Star (Junior's Islamic Song), Draw a Ka’ba (Junior's), Junior's Quiz competition (for Children). IQ Test Competitions were arranged for men and women separately.

The star attraction of the event was Master of Dessert competition for women, which displayed scrumptious and lip-smacking taste with their skills in preparing different types of desserts.

A duff programme was staged by coastal Karnataka team. The most spectacular act was by the children, who enacted skit symbolizing ‘Respect to Parents’. An eye catching rendition of the drama health awareness was performed by EIFF team.

Indian Cultural Society UAE President Aliyar Sahab and Mohammed Sherief were chief guests at the closing ceremony. Attractive prizes were presented to all the winners.

There were raffle draws for lucky winners in which audience won amazing prize like diamond ring from Malabar Gold and Diamond.

Nasir KK was instrumental in hosting the entire event by presenting a variety of programmes which kept the audience intact.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) organized Blood Donation Camp at Latifa Hospital, Oud Mehta Dubai on April 23rd, 2020 in association with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and with support from Community Development Authority (CDA) Government of Dubai.

Blood Donation Drive started in the morning at 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Around 48 people participated in this drive and donated blood to support the Dubai Blood Bank.

A potential shortage of blood for transfusions has been occurred due to a significant reduction in voluntary blood donations during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The current pandemic, health services are now running with shortages of blood availability. To support the DHA Blood Bank KSCC taken initiative to ensure that blood donations continued and are safe for both the donor and the recipient.

After taking safety precaution and safe distance during the blood donation donors feeling happy and honored to participate and donate blood at this pandemic situation. Club Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi was also present during this event.

KSCC appreciated all the blood donors and be grateful to Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Community Development Authority (CDA), and Government of Dubai for their association for this event. They also thanked the volunteers and supporters.

Doha: Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF) once again set an example that no caste, creed, language and religion comes as hurdle for their humanitarian services and helped to perform last rites of Ramesh who committed suicide in Doha-Qatar.

45-year-old Ramesh son of K. Nagan hailing from Panikulam, Thrissur district in Kerala, who was working as a tailor committed suicide in his house at Ruwias in Qatar on 30th May 2020.

On hearing this news, some of his friends in Kearla informed Mr. Shihab who is also from Thrissur and a member of QISF and the same was brought to the notice of QISF humanitarian team head Mr. Abdul Latheef Madikeri and Basheer Ahmed of Tamil Nadu.

Immediately, the QISF team intervened and contacted the family members of the deceased in India and discussed the matter and consequences of sending the body back home to India in this pandemic COVID 19 situation.

Considering the prevailing situation, the family members gave the consent to bury the body in Qatar itself.

QISF team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation.

Finally, the body of the deceased was buried in Qatar on 7th June 2020 and the copies of all the relevant documents have been handed over to the family members.

The family members of the deceased thanked and applauded the leaders and all the members of QISF for their effective and on time humanitarian service rendered even in this pandemic crisis and having no bias.
