Bengaluru, May 2: While the election fortunes of over 429 candidates, who contested for the just concluded Lok Sabha elections, sealed in the ballot box the Karnataka State Election Commission had announced elections to 63 Urban Local bodies and byelections to 8 Taluk Panchayaths and 202 Panchayaths seats on May 29.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the State Election Commissioner P N Srinivasachari said that elections will be held to as many as 1361 wards in 63 urban local bodies on May 29 and counting will be held on May 31.
The elections would be held for as many as 33 Civil Municipalities, 8 Town and 22 Pattan Panchayaths across the State.
