Bengaluru, Apr 4: Sumalatha, widow of former Karnataka Minister M H Ambareesh, today promised to remain in the midst of the people in Mandya and work for their welfare, if elected in the April-18 elections from the Mandya Lok Sabha.
Speaking at an interaction with the media persons, organised by the Press Club Bengaluru here on Thursday, Sumalatha, an independent candidate, supported by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Raitha Sangha, said that "I am in the politics, thanks to the pressure mounted by the people of Mandya, who had earlier showered love and affection on my husband."
Charging that the JD(S) leaders, are indulged in various kind of atrocities against Congress leaders who are opposing and supporting her, she alleged that "it was even witnessed in the release of funds by the state government. Pockets identified as Congress supporters is suffering from fund crunch".









Mangaluru, Jan 11: Reacting to the recent video clippings provided to the media by former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy in connection with the December 19 unrest in Mangaluru, city Police Commissioner Dr PS Harsha on Saturday said that the video has to be seen in a proper sequence to come to a conclusion on the happenings of that day.
