It was a working Eid for Badshah Khan, in New Delhi to unveil Tag Heuer's India Racing Limited Edition Chronograph. The actor admitted that he was not very driven by Formula One, though impressed with the Buddh racing circuit and the cars.

He said he got confused with the noise in the circuit. But admitted that the late Ayrton Senna was his favourite, and he had seen his last race.

So who did he hope would win the India leg? "Jenson Button is my man," he said. And regarding Michael Schumacher, Badshah Khan said that he is one of the few people like Sachin Tendulkar whom you never ever want should retire, they should keep doing what they do best.

But sports apart, the actor said he was one person who didn't like being controlled by time, except when he was present for his TAG Heuer events. Numbers restrict him, be it the number game in Bollywood or the number slots actors are put like 30 crores, 100 crores, 150 crores. But even though he may avoid numbers, trade pundits are already slotting a 200 crore mark for Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Shah Rukh Khan laughed and said, "See again they are restricting my creativity, but jokes apart it doesn't matter I make movies because I believe in them am not driven by numbers, truly."

But why is it even before his movie is released battle lines are drawn, it's SRK vs the rest of them? "You know am just tired with these so called battles or whatever you may call them, I make a movie or am part of project because I have faith in it, I give it my all that's it. I just focus on my project and am not concerned with what's happening around me, but it's okay I may matter to people if they create a good or bad hype around my movie, I must matter to them," he said.

Getting emotional about his soon to be released Jab Tak Hai Jaan, a movie which is special in more ways than one. Shah Rukh Khan narrated an incident related to the movie which he holds close to his heart. "You know my father used to tell me you should visit Kashmir with your father, in the sense, it's the place of my forefathers so if you visit it you must have your father with you. But my father passed on, and I didn't get an opportunity to shoot there till Yashi ji told me lets go we are going to Kashmir for Jab Tak Hain Jaan, I was surprised but thought of my father and said great am going to paradise with a father figure. Yash ji after canning the last shot with me on the jeep in Kashmir said, "Bas Shah Rukh , ab ho gaya". I said, "kya", Yashji said, "Ab main film nahin banaunga". I said, "Yeh kya bol rahe ho aisa nahi ho sakta", to which Yashji said, "Ab waqt hogaya", he hugged me and we both wept. We are very emotional people Yashji and me. But today when I look back to the incident I wonder Jab Tak hain jaan isn't just a film for me it's much more than that. I don't even know what to say about the film. Even if people ask me about Katrina or Anushka, what do I say. I don't know how to answer anything about the movie," Shah Rukh Khan said.

So, on a lighter note why are his heroines getting younger with each passing film? "The young girls like me and I like older women. Hahhaaa see I have the best.. guys just joking."

21 year and 70 films the Badshah of Bollywood says he is still unsure, but we are sure that if there is a king of hearts it's you King Khan.

Kochi, Jun 27: The Kerala government on Friday submitted an application in a local court requesting to stop the prosecution of ivory possession case against Malayalam film actor Mohanlal.

In the application for withdrawal of prosecution, the government has requested the court to stop the prosecution "immediately for the interest of justice".

''The legality of the possession of two elephant tusks by Mohanlal was accepted by the competent authority under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 by issuing him a certificate of ownership. The possession and custody of the elephant tusks thus become legal after the Chief Wildlife Warden (CWW) issued him the certificate," the state government said.

"Further conduct of the criminal trial may go against the good faith amongst the parties as far as the certificate of ownership issued to Mohanlal is concerned. One cannot go back from that ownership certificate and it was stopped from contradicting, deny or declare to be false the previous statement made by the actor in the court," it added.

"The government should not be allowed to revert from its promises in order to keep the faith of the people and in the interest of good governance," the government further said.

The case was registered by the forest department in 2012. The state government submitted the application in Kuruppampady Judicial Magistrate Court, which will hear the matter on July 24.

New Delhi, Apr 23: As the holy month of Ramzan is about to begin, several Muslim public figures on Thursday appealed to the community to offer tarawih and hold iftar inside their homes and follow the lockdown regulations imposed to tackle the coronavirus threat.

Television actor Iqbal Khan in a video message appealed to the people to not step out of their houses during Ramzan.

"This time around, whatever you do during Ramzan, you have to do it inside your houses. Do not visit mosques; offer tarawih (late evening prayers offered during Ramzan) at your homes. Your stepping outside will not only put you in a problem but may put your family members in trouble also," said Khan.

"And that will be wrong, do not go outside. If anyone says you have to go outside then they are wrong. Stay home and stay safe and help others stay safe too," he added.

Another TV actor and Tik Tok star Jannat Zubair asked people to avoid any kind of social gatherings so as to ensure the safety of everyone.

"I know we are in a difficult situation but there is no need to panic. We will overcome this and things will be fine. The holy month of Ramzan is going to start, please stay home, offer prayers at your homes and avoid family/friends gatherings for now. It is just a matter of time, things will be fine soon. Stay home and stay safe," she said.
Ramzan is likely to begin from April 24.

Washington, Apr 8: Choosing stethoscope over the crown, Miss England 2019, Bhasha Mukherjee, has returned to work as a doctor as the world battles with coronavirus pandemic.

According to CNN, she was a junior doctor with a specialisation in respiratory medicine, before being crowned as Miss England in August last year. The beauty queen, who has her roots in India's Kolkata city, had taken a career break from the medical field.

She had paused her medical career for some humanitarian work that she was offered by several charities and was on a tour to different countries including India.

"I was invited to Africa, to Turkey, then to India, Pakistan and several other Asian countries to be an ambassador for various charity work," CNN quoted her as saying.

She had been in India at the beginning of March for four weeks. During her stay as an ambassador of the Coventry Mercia Lions Club, the 24-year-old had visited several schools and had donated stationery and other items to the needy.

Mukherjee then returned back UK as the situation worsened there with the coronavirus spreading at a fast rate. She then contacted the hospital and asked them that she wanted to rejoin.

According to CNN, the Miss England beauty pageant winner said that she felt wrong to be wearing the crown while people around the world were dying from the virus.

"When you are doing all this humanitarian work abroad, you're still expected to put the crown on, get ready... look pretty. I wanted to come back home. I wanted to come and go straight to work," CNN quoted her as saying.

"I felt a sense of this is what I'd got this degree for and what better time to be part of this particular sector than now. It was incredible the way the whole world was celebrating all key workers, and I wanted to be one of those, and I knew I could help," she added.

As the beauty queen has a recent travel history, she is currently in self-isolation and will return to work once her quarantine period is over.
She was crowned as Miss England 2019 in August last year.

According to World Health Organisation, 13,53,361people have been affected by coronavirus and over 80,000 people have lost their lives to it.
