Kalaburagi, Mar 5: Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader R Ashok, who is incharge of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rallies in the State, said here on Tuesday that the attempt of the opposition parties to forge grand alliance will be a vain bid and their earlier attempts throughout the country including UP, West Bengal and even in Karnataka have been unsuccessful.
Addressing a press conference at N V High School ground, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting tomorrow, Mr Ashok said that "the effort by opposition parties shows how much fear they have against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"I think everybody [the opposition] is afraid of the fact that the BJP is again going to form its government at the Centre. So, they are attempting to forge a mahagathbandhan but their attempt was fatally failed in all State including UP and even Delhi", he added.
