After coastaldigest.com tirelessly chased the 158 runs losing only two wickets to beat the opponent team, jubilant spectators began to dance and burst fire crackers on the ground and they continued until the skies opened up and it began to rain heavily.

A vital cameo from wicketkeeper captain Ibrahim Athrady followed by a systematic onslaught from Vikram PS and Norman helped the coastaldigest.com team easily chase a challenging total in the floodlight match.

It was Surathkal Strikers’ captain Nithin Mulky, who won the toss and elected to bat. Thanks to the dropped catches, missed run-outs and a few misfieldings they managed to score 158 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

In response coastaldigest.com started their innings by scoring a single run in the first over. However, soon the captain began to punish the Surathkal Striker bowlers. When he was at 21 and team was in a solid position a controversial run-out decision by third umpire sent him back to the dugout.

After the fall of first wicket, Norman joined the opener Vikram who was later rightly adjudged ‘man of the match’ in ensuring the team’s massive victory over the opponents. Both the players scored half centuries.
