Jubail: The 12th annual general body meeting of Jam’iyyatul Falah (Jubail Unit) was held on Friday June 26 at Cook Xon Restaurant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia followed by an Iftar party. Fayaz Ahmed was re-elected unanimously as the President of JF-Jubail unit for the term 2015-2016.

Master Zayd Nasir Sheikh opened the meeting with Islamic greeting and invited the distinguished guests and members to the dais. The meeting started with the recitation of holy Quran by Mohammad Ishaq, former president, FJ Dammam.

Mohammed Farook, former Ameer, NRCC, delivered welcome address. He urged youngsters to join JF and serve the needy people in the community expecting rewards from the Creator.

Outgoing president Fayaz Ahmed, in his presidential message, thanked the committee for giving him the opportunity to lead JF Jubail unit. He briefed journey of JF with successful completion of valuable 27 years of service since its inception.

The annual report was read out by the general secretary Nasir Ahmed Sheikh elaborating on JF’s background, overview and financial status of the unit report.

Saleem Sheikh displayed a presentation on Jam’iyyatul Falah, its structure, activities and future plans. JF is an association meant for the welfare of less privileged brothers and sisters of the society, which came into existence in 1988.

The first and foremost priority of JF is given to education, spreading literacy and all round development of the less privileged families in the community. JF also provides scholarships and hostels under different schemes to the needy students in both the districts. Provides shelters for needy people, distributes Ramdan kits, zakat and Sadaka collecting from donors. JF serves the community with frequent medical camps, health awareness programs and special medical check-up for poor families. JF also provides dialysis medical treatment for poor Kidney patients.

Guests Munaf Shaikh, former president, JF Dammam unit, Wasim Sadik, Central President, Indian Social Forum – EP and Zakaria Bajpe , Al Muzain appreciated JF activities and urged the attendees to support JF by enrolling more and more new members.

AGB meeting election officers Munaf Sheikh and Rasheed Vardara carried out election process smoothly and the following members were elected new office bearers for the year 2015-2016. In addition to 15 office bearers 20 executive committee members have been appointed.

Re-elected president Fayaz Ahmed in his address requested all members to work together for the benefit of our community. Also he stressed the youngsters to keep themselves associated with social services and join hands with JF in its community welfare activities.

Mohammed Althaf proposed the vote of thanks. The meeting ended with Dua-e-Quffara and Iftar party arranged by JF Jubail unit members.

Dubai: A non-profitable social organization, KSCC is delivering a great service to the community during this pandemic situation.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club is a civil organization registered under Community Development Authority (CDA) involved in implementing various UAE government initiatives, blood donation drives, health campaigns, sport events, charity works, awareness programs and much more.

KSCC is currently actively liaising with Dubai government authorities in discharging the needs and requirements of the people in these challenging covid-19 pandemic times. It is also involved the activities such as logistics, coordinating stores, mobilizing isolation centers, equipping quarantine facilities and volunteering services.

During these testing times, KSCC is also facilitating the Guidance to the general public, follow-up up to 122 covid positive cases, counselling the affected, assisting the references and providing the ever-necessary emotional support by setting up a team of 24 reserved persons for call center helplines.

As per the request from DHA (Dubai Health Authority) KSCC has successfully organized the blood donation drive and donated upto 141 units of blood with the help of KSCC members & supporters.

Apart from above, KSCC is also engaged in serving needy by distributing the food provisional kit (Yestahloon) from the very 1st day of lockdown till day by their special task force team under guidelines of CDA, and also taking into consideration the month of Ramadan, team is successfully distributing Iftar food & provision kit with the help of donors.

In the 1st Phase, KSCC covered 2421 beneficiaries by providing 440 provisional food kits, 435 food pack and 529 Iftar kits.

As per the CDA guidelines, club is also engaged in following up the health condition of senior citizens living in UAE.

KSCC special team is also engaged in clearing documentation and formalities related to dead body repatriation until its final procedures and handing over to relatives with help of UAE governments authorities. Total 5 dead bodies are repatriated in their 1st phase of service.

KSCC is also having a center controlled special task team to assist all above activities during the covid-19 pandemic to continue the services to general public.

KSCC thanks all Government authorities, Members in different task team, supporters and Sponsors company MAERSK, MALABAR GOLD & DIAMOND and TAMIL ENTREPRENEUR for their support and also request extend their support to consolidate the above demanding service and deliver our best possible assistance not only because it is the month of Ramadan, but also our responsibility to reach out to the poor and needy, during this fight against Covid-19.

Mangaluru, May 22: An elderly cardiac patient from Dakshina Kannada, who was stranded in Saudi Arabia due to covid-19 lock-down, has finally reached his homeland thanks to the timely intervention by Humanity Forum Jubail and Indian Social Forum.

The elderly man hailing from Kadaba area of Dakshina Kannada was admitted to a hospital in Madinah. However, his condition continued to worsen due to lack of proper treatment. The efforts by his family members to bring him back home had not yielded results.

Meanwhile, one of the relatives of the patient, Ansari Suratkal, who happens to be a DKSC activist, brought the issue to the notice of the Karnataka unit of the Indian Social Forum in Dammam. ISF contacted Humanity Forum president Zakariya Jokatte, who helped the patient to speak directly union minister D V Sadananda Gowda in a video conference organised by coastaldigest.com.

Humanity Forum also persuaded the Indian Embassy to allow the stranded cardiac patient to fly back to India through Dammam-Bengaluru repatriation flight on May 20. 

However, it was not easy for the patient to travel from Madinah to Dammam International Airport due to lock-down and curfew. ISF not only obtained travel permission for him but also arranged vehicle. Jeddah and Riyadh units of ISF helped in obtaining permission letter in their respective places in spite of travel ban imposed by the police. Madinah unit of ISF arranged vehicle for transportation. Zakariya Jokatte bore the air ticket and other expenses of the patient.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.
