Shivamogga, Nov 12: Film director Nagathihalli Chandrashekar and two others sustained injuries after a swarm of honeybees attacked them at Baruve village near Kodachadri Hills in Hosanagar taluk on Wednesday.
According to sources, Mr. Chandrashekhar suffered multiple bee stings on his face, neck, head, and abdomen, and had developed vomiting and severe body ache. Doctors have said that his condition is stable.
The director was camping with his unit at a farmhouse near Baruve for the shooting of ‘Ishtakamya’. The unit were touring Baruve and the surrounding villages to spot shooting locations.
Crew member Chandru and driver Krishna also sustained injuries. Mr. Chandrashekhar is likely to be discharged from the hospital within a day.
