The police used cranes to lift the lorry to remove the car that was stuck beneath it. “There was blood everywhere in the mangled car and as it was dark, we could not get any mobile phones or other clues to identify the victims. We are also clueless about where they were coming from. But it looks like the car was headed towards Bengaluru,” a senior police officer said.

The lorry driver suffered a fracture in his leg and an ambulance rushed him to a nearby hospital. Vehicular movement on the Kanakapura main road was disrupted for an hour and the police diverted the traffic. The Kanakapura traffic police have registered a case and are investigating.
