Bengaluru, Aug 11: Flight operators have hiked flight charges to Port City Mangaluru, the coastal hub of Karnataka, taking advantage of Road and Train services badly affected due to the torrential rain and floods.
According to sources, the tickets for flights between Bengaluru and Mangaluru had jacked up to Rs 14000 to Rs 18000 for one way for today, an increase from Rs 2500 to Rs 5000.
“With the absence of any regulations from the Government, the Air-operators are fleecing the public, taking the adverse natural situation” Suresh a frequent traveller from Bengaluru to Mangaluru said.
