Bengaluru, Sept 6: Across the country, thousands have come out to protest the brutal murder of activist-journalist Gauri Lankesh.
Protest meets were held in Chennai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Manglauru Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and other places.
Gauri Lankesh was shot dead by unidentified assailants on September 5. A Special Investigation Team headed by an IG-level officer would be constituted to exclusively investigate the murder of Gauri Lankesh.
Mangaluru, Mar 29: Mosques across Karnataka are now turning into centers to create awareness against deadly coronavirus that cause Covid-19.
The state government's board of auqaf has issued a notification to the administrations of all mosques to use their loud speakers to create awareness against the virus.
All the mosques in the state have already suspended congregational prayers to prevent the spread of the virus.
As per the decision of the state board of auqaf, now all mosques have to play the audio clips that creates awareness against the virus in three languages.
The clips will be played at 10 a.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. everyday.
Also need to make call on all prayer places temples and churches to live with humanity without violence.
Bengaluru, Apr 2: A health worker, who was part of a team fighting against the Coronavirus disease in the city, was allegedly attacked by a mob and duped of her belongings at the Sadiq Layout in the Shivajinagar area on Thursday.
According to police sources, the health worker came under attack by a mob of youths when she was collecting data from those who were sick in the locality.
Kasaragod, Apr 7: The new COVID Hospital at the Kasaragod Medical College has started functioning, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Monday.
The new administrative block of Kasaragod Medical College was converted into a COVID-19 Hospital for providing better treatment facilities to the coronavirus patients, the Chief Minister said while addressing a press conference at the Government Secretariat.
Stating that the hospital was converted to a Corona Care Hospital in just four days, he said 200 beds and 10 ICU beds are now ready.
