Bengaluru, Sept 6: Across the country, thousands have come out to protest the brutal murder of activist-journalist Gauri Lankesh.
Protest meets were held in Chennai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Manglauru Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and other places.
Gauri Lankesh was shot dead by unidentified assailants on September 5. A Special Investigation Team headed by an IG-level officer would be constituted to exclusively investigate the murder of Gauri Lankesh.
Mangaluru, May 31: Karnataka BJP president MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has claimed that there has been no differences of opinion within the state BJP.
"The BJP-led government will complete its term under the leadership of B S Yediyurappa," Kateel told media persons in the city on Saturday.
“A few MLAs had met and discussed the developments in North Karnataka. There is nothing wrong in discussing development keeping in mind the party's interests.”
Indiscipline within the party will not be tolerated. Strict action will be initiated against those who indulge in such activities by the party High Command, he warned.
The government, led by Yediyurappa, has carried out good works in the state. All the MLAs are supporting the chief minister. All the MLAs are in contact with me, claimed Kateel.
Hassan, Feb 26: A 35-year-old poachers died on the spot by his fellow man accidentally, mistaking him as animal at Yedikumari Kaginahere forest areas near Sakaleshpura in the district early hours Tuesday, police sources said.
The deceased has been identified as Harish.
The incident happened when ten poachers went hunting for wild animals in the Yedikumari Kaginahare forest areas.
Mangaluru, May 17: With the detection of two more covid-19 positive cases in Mangaluru, the total number of cases in Dakshina Kannada today mounted to 52.
A 35-year-old woman who was under quarantine along with her husband after returning from Maharashtra today tested positive for the coronavirus.
