Girl abducted: SR1m reward offered

Riyadh, Nov 24: A SR1 million reward has been offered to anyone providing information that could lead to the whereabouts of a two-year-old girl kidnapped in Riyadh.girl

Juri Al-Khaldi was kidnapped inside a clinic on Riyadh’s busy Khurais Road on Friday afternoon. The incident took place when her father left the clinic to buy something from a nearby shop while her mother was being treated inside.

According to a woman employee, a man came into the clinic, played with the girl for some time and then left with her. The woman thought the man was a relative of the father.

However, she was suspicious and went outside the clinic, but was not able to identify the vehicle. The father came back a little later to find his daughter missing.

Riyadh, Mar 25: A 46-year-old man died of coronavirus in Saudi Arabia, becoming the Kingdom’s second death, according to a health ministry’s spokesman.

The health ministry recorded 133 new infections, bringing the total to 900.

Of those newly confirmed cases, 18 are associated with recent travel, and were placed in quarantine upon their arrival in the Kingdom, the spokesman said.

Dubai, May 31: As many as 84 beggars have been arrested in Dubai during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, the Dubai Police have said.

The arrests were carried out as part of their anti-begging campaign to prevent begging during the holy month of Ramadan.

Some illegal vendors, too, have been arrested in different areas of the emirate, the police added.

Colonel Ali Salem, Director of the Infiltrators Department at the Criminal Investigations Department of Dubai Police, said that the campaign aims to maintain the safety and security of the society, adding that the campaign was successful and helped reduce the number of beggars across the emirate.

He called on the public to report begging activities to the number 901 or the Dubai Police app.

Cairo, Mar 16: Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman said G20 summit will work to combat coronavirus and coordinate efforts to ease its economic burdens, state news agency SPA said on Sunday.

In a phone call with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Salman discussed international efforts to fight the flu-like disease, saying the next G20 summit, which will be hosted by the Kingdom, will work on finding medical solutions, SPA added.

The G20 Summit is an annual gathering of representatives of the world's largest economies.
