Graveyard politics: Sakshi overtakes Modi, says Muslims should be cremated

February 28, 2017

New Delhi, Feb 28: Days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made his infamous 'qabristan-shamshaan' remarks at an election rally in Uttar Pradesh, BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj has taken a leaf out of his book and suggested Muslims should also be cremated since there is not enough land for graveyards.

sakshi"Whether it is named qabristan (graveyard) or shamshaan (crematoriums), nobody needs to be buried. There are 2-2.5 crore Hindu saints in this country who should have a memorial after their death. That will require land. There are 20 crore Muslims, all of them need a grave. Where is the land in Hindustan?" Maharaj said today.

At a rally in Fatehpur earlier this month, Modi had said, "If you create qabristan in a village, then a shamshaan should also be created. If there is uninterrupted electricity in Ramzan, it should also be given during Diwali. There should be no discrimination."

The statement had triggered a storm, with the Opposition accusing Modi of trying to communalise the crucial three-cornered Uttar Pradesh contest.

Maharaj, 61, however, has a reputation for shooting his mouth. He has repeatedly blamed Muslims for India's population. Last month, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against him by the Meerut Police for saying those entitled to "marry four times and have 40 children" are responsible for the country's population explosion.

Since the statement was made while Uttar Pradesh is voting, even the Election Commission had pulled up Maharaj and sought a report from the Meerut administration.

First cremate this dog then bury to ensure he is fully dead, otherwise his atma may roam everywhere to make mischief activity by joining sanghi. One Atma is already there in country's top post.

This fool needs immedaite treatment before he goes 100 percent mad and runs in the street without clothes. I hope the mother who gave birth to this fool is repenting for the mistake. She is also might be cursing him. He is a waste to our land and his chapter should be closed at the earliest. PM MOdi is silent on the remarks made by his chela. PM himself gave incorrect and illogic and irresponsble statement. Being a PM he should not have made such statement. I think Mukhtar naqwi and Shanawaz have agreed to sakshi maharge statement and given their consent to cremate their bodies after death.

Hubballi, Mar 25: The people living in rural areas of North-Karnataka region have become more aware about deadly Corona virus as they are leaving no stone unturned to prevent people of Bengaluru and other metropolitan cities from entering into their villages. People have put thorny plants on all roads at the outskirts connecting their villages and deployed youths to conduct patrolling round the clock till next 21 days.

Their motto is to prevent their own villagers getting infected from the outsiders especially from cities like Bengaluru and other two-tier cities where positive virus cases are on the rise. They have also take precautionary measures in the wake of Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa's call to the people to return to their native places.

Several people have also dug up the roads leading to their villages to block the entry of outside vehicles. They have put a condition to the outsiders to enter into their villages only after proper health check-up to confirm that they are not infected with Corona positive.

"We don't have access to the proper medical care if Corona virus is entered into our village. The Primary Health Centres are not functioning properly and these centers are facing lack of adequate staff and medical equipments unlike in big cities. Therefore, those who have deserted our village to employ in various jobs in Bengaluru and other cities should confirm that they are tested negative for the virus", said Mallikarjun Patil of Kudal village in Hangal taluk of Haveri district. The village has totally banned the outsiders into their village and warned their fellow villagers to return immediately if they have visited to their relatives' homes in neighboring villages to observe 21-day lockdown.

Hundreds of youths in Itanal village of Chikkodi taluk of Belagavi have also resorted to similar tactics and patrolling in all roads at the outskirts by holding sticks to prevent outsiders from entering into their village until April 14.

People of Hunagunti village in Ron taluk and Kotamuchagi village in Gadag taluk have also adopted similar plan by parking tractors at th outskirts to prohibit the entry of outsiders. They have also created awareness in their villages by beating drums urging the people not to venture outside village for next three weeks.

The police officials have resorted to lati-charge at various places in urban areas when people gathered in large numbers to buy essential commodities.

Tirupati, Jul 5: The Karnataka government will soon build a massive pilgrim amenities complex and marriage hall at Tirumala, the hill abode of Lord Venkateswara, at an estimated cost of Rs 200 crore, a temple official said here on Saturday.

The state would soon submit a blueprint for the construction of the Rs 200 crore mega complexes to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) that governs the hill shrine, the official said.

Consequently, based on the designs, TTD would construct the complexes with the given fund and after completion, they would be handed over to the Karnataka government, he said.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa would lay the foundation stone for the mammoth complexes on the hills some time next month, he said.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to take part in the programme, he added.

Dear Sir,

Keep aside all these type of extra expenditure like spending for statues, monuments, pilgrim amnesties etc.

During this period of virus pandamic, please use all these amount for medicines, medical facilities, food and development of the state.  We are facing shortage of medical facilites and the people are dying on the road by not getting a bed in the hospital.  Please use these amounts for the same.  During this Pandemic not even hindu brothers also accept this offer.  Leave all vote politics and concentrate to develop the state.
