Hanan XII post huge win over Tulu Koota

Doha: Hosts Hanan XII posted a 48 run victory over Tulu Koota in the inaugural match of the 2nd Hanan Cricket Tournament 2015.

At the inauguration Abdul Rehman Vanoo, Managing Director of Hanan Group, who flew in from India, stated that he was very impressed and pleased at the running of the Qatar Veterans’ tournaments. He said that the League should seriously consider taking the game to a higher level. He promised all support for the same.

After winning the Toss, sponsoring team Hanan XII elected to bat first. Their opening batsmen Nayamat with Captain Kader gave a brisk start for their team by scoring 39 runs in the first three overs. Kader was run out while stealing a single when the team’s score was 47 runs. Nayamat retired after scoring 30 runs. Zamir kept the same momentum until 6thover, when HananXII’s reached 62 for 2. There after Tulu Koota came back with some splendid bowling and restricted Hanan XII to 129 runs for 9 wickets in15 overs. But some elegant fireworks from Imran ( 46 runs in 23 balls with five 6’s) along with Parvez 19 runs saw Hanan XII total 146 runs all out  in 17.5 overs.

For Tulu Koota, Rizwan took 4 wickets and Arshad took 3wickets.

In reply, Tulu Koota were never on track and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Some excellent fast bowling from Litin (3 wickets for 5 runs) kept Tulu Koota well away from the target.

Man of the match Parvez took two wickets. Arafat was the only batsman who fought valiantly with his marathon 26 runs

Hanan XII 146 all out in 17.5 overs.  Nayamat 31, Imran 46, Parvez 19.  Rizwan 4 for 7, Arshad 3 wickets for 21 runs defeated Tulu Koota 98 runs all out in 19.5 overs. Arafat 26, Ganesh 17. Litin 3 for 5, Parvez 2 for 1.

In the other matches, Al Fardan defeated Metabo by 4 runs in a thrilling match.

Qatar Quarry beat Al Jazeera Media Network by 64 runs.

Ideal Indian School defeated Vijay Arabia by 16 runs.

Force India beat Lovely Littles by 9 wickets

Serandeep A defeated Carson Logistics by 8 wickets.

Dubai: A blood donation drive was conducted by Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) at in Al Wasl Club Stadium here on Friday, 26th June 2020.

The drive started around 1:00 pm and continued till 4:00 pm as per schedule provided by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Blood Donation Centre and 60 people donated blood to support the Blood Bank. The drive was well organised by maintaining social distance in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As blood cannot be produced but only can be donated, this drive will help many patients in need of blood during emergencies. Donors were also feeling proud and happy at this moment thinking of saving someone’s life.

DHA Blood Donation Centre staff carried out the screening and testing done in very well manner keeping social distancing during this pandemic. Volunteers of KSCC were also helping the staff to keep people in safe distance and to make this drive a success.

KSCC Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi and other office bearers were present at the event venue. KSCC thanked the volunteers, Community Development of Authority (CDA), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Blood Donation Centre, Government of Dubai and Al Wasl Club Stadium for making the event successful.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.

Dammam: President of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Mr.Wasim Rabbani urged immediate intervention of Indian government to help Non Residential Indians who are in trouble due to corona pandemic in Saudi Arabia.

He said in a press rease that expatriate Indians are in concern  as number of corona infected people and  deaths are increasing in danger level.

Hea said, "the Saudi health minister's statement a few days ago indicates that the situation in Saudi needs to be taken more seriously with precautionary methods. There are concerns among expatriates because the number of people infected with the coronavirus and the number of deaths reported in various provinces are increasing at an alarming rate."

"Saudi Government and Health Ministry are taking excellent precautionary measures, however, in the coming days expect to see the number of cases to increase in Saudi Arabia. The Indian government needs to take diplomatic and immediate intervention to ensure the treatment of Indian expatriates considering the number of effected people increasing", He said.

He also urged that the Embassy and the Government of India should ensure qaurantiane faculty for Indian expatriates and arrange special low cost flights to bring back expatriates who would like to return home country.

" Government of India and Indian embassy need to intervene immediately to ensure that the quarantine system is in place for Indian expatriates as the facilities in the rooms where the residents are staying together are very limited. There should also be a mechanism to organize low-cost flight services for expatriates who are ready to go home. The government system should also be able to accommodate the expatriates in special quarantine areas in hometown as soon they arrive in India", he urged.
